I've used Autoglm super resin polish with pretty good results.

And just fitted a second Alugas bottle to the van.. took almost an hour mind....
4 minutes getting the single unit out and laying everything out
15 minutes talking to the kitchen design geezer who turned up ( before I could get away and leave it all to Woman.. )
5 minutes checking I had all I needed and fitting the auto change over to the regulator
20 minutes talking to a biker who turned up and had a problem ( which was not really a problem and he could have sorted him self in less time than I spent explaining it all to him )
15 minutes plumbing it all in place and leak testing
1 minute to lock the van back up and put the two spanners away !

I've fixed it for the Engine Battery to be connected to the Habitation Batteries via a stout cable and a resettable fuse.

It will mean that in addition to having a bit more leckky in the reservoir of usable amps, the solar panel will ensure that the engine battery will continue to be topped up when parked.

Well I now have a fridge that operates perfectly on 12v; 220v; & gas. Goes from ambient to -18 in freezer box & down to 0º in fridge on all of them.(y) Just a pity that it is the old one that I removed 6 months ago & not the new one that packed up 1 day after getting to the UK:(

& just went to finish loading van to get away later & the inside temperature of the van is 36º.:Eeek: The fridge is sitting happily at -2º with -20º showing for the ice box. & that's with my calibrated temperature tester.(y)

I'll see what it shows when I get to Baza after running on 12v.

Well when I stopped O/night on way down fridge was at 1º & -20º in ice box having run on 12v. O/night on gas no problem &when I arrived fridge sat on gas in the sun with cab temp. of 40º ( no screens up) & maintained 0º , with ice box around -18º.
Today with screens up 35º in cab & on 220v it was -1º in fridge & -25 in ice box. very happy.(y):)

Just covered Water Pump and Boiler with pieces of an old Duvet,
Frost forecast for tonight

Should I be doing that?

Depends Joy, I do it, even though I've drained the water system, there is always a little water left in the system. The clear plastic filter on the end of your water pump for instance, , because of it's position ie; on it's side, there is always a little water left in it, if it freezes it can crack the plastic, also if you look at your Trauma boiler, on the side you will see a RED Plastic thingee, with maybe a clear plastic tube/pipe exiting under your van. In that red thingee is a very crude non return valve, it only needs a drop of water to freeze in it to push the valve the other way and destroy its function, although it only costs 10-12 quid to buy a replacement, to get someone in, to replace it- - will cost ???????

Some on here will say that what I have said id Bo**acks , BUT! I've done it since 2005since my water pump filter cracked and have never had to replace either since.

Better safe than sorry

I would say unnecessary, forecast may be for frost but at this time of year it`s unlikely to amount to much that will do any damage.
Having said that, do what you feel is right.

Just renewed the tap micro switch wires that broke whilst in France and fitted a push button switch inside the cupboard under the sink, fitted into tap wire feeds so when the wires break again, which they will because of design, I have a switch read to use.

How did you get the microwave tuned in to ITV Andy?:LOL:

Moved the kitchen tap spout onto the bathroom tap (bathroom spout had split) and replaced the kitchen tap completely (chrome peeling).

New thermostat & housing; new reversing light switch; new air filter while it was all off doing the other two ; lubricated the air horns & compressor;

Modified the antenna wiring to easier include the separate HD free view box we use to record stuff on..
We can record on the box and/or on the telly at the same time

New awning/canopy. New front tyres. Two new leisure batteries with a bit of a rewire and new fuses. Fitted 1500watt psw inverter to run Nesspresso machine. Wired up 12v and 240v with aerial lead in bedroom area. Installed front wheel support and tie rails in the garage for the newly acquired scooter. Been an expensive and busy few days.

Replacing OEM Hymer front rooflight with a Heki 2 and rear with an Omnivent. Fixed leaky tap spout (splitting on seam).

Fixed the non working screen wash pump on the Hymer. Removed it and gave the motor a couple of friendly taps with a small hammer and bingo, working again (for Now)

Did a lights check before setting off for the New Year celebrations, only on checking the lights I found the front and rear near side (that's the left @movan, near the kerb hehe) top lights not working. Checked all the fuses etc and couldn't find the fault for the life of me. Ended up isolating all the top lights and went away as planned. What I did find was a large mouse nest under my dashboard. So today I've had to strip out as much of the dash as I could and cleaned out the nest. It was an old one thank goodness. Have to say that the Fiat wiring looked good and well protected. Unlike all the aftermarket gadgets that have been fitted. Very sloppy work, including those fitted by Autotrail.

I was expecting a lot of chewed wires, but was lucky as none had been damaged. It then took me hours to trace the fault and guess what, the utter absolute rubbish build quality that those morons who claim to be Autotrail builders, was at a fault again. A wire, half way inside the rear panel has snapped, with no way of accessing it to render a repair. On investigation I found absolutely no protection for any of the wiring running to the rear light, instead the wires were lose, running over sharp knife edges and just waiting to strip and fail. Shoddy, shoddy rubbish work by the famous Autotrail builders. Think they'd sell an awful lot more motorhomes if only they tightened up on their quality control. Even the wiring for the rear lights are a poor example of craftsmanship.

So tomorrow will see me re-wiring the rear end. I've also go some military reinforced cable to run the new wires through, so hopefully it'll see a more permanent repair for the future.

This would have cost £100's if someone had to put the vehicle into an auto electrician to repair and all because Autotrail couldn't be bothered to do a quality job in the first place.
