Well I've installed a step alarm, a roof vent alarm, multiple stop switches, wired the hab door into the alarm.
This morning I have rotavated all round the olive trees & in a mo I'll be cutting down all the bamboo out the front.Have to have a change now & again .

over the week I polished out the scratches on the van windows turned out quite good

Installed USB socket near driving position as Techno100 has shown us in previous threads, very effective & quite simple.

So a question, it has a small blue light on it, how much power do these use, as I have wired it up to be constantly on?

Hia

I screwed a new outdoor door catch to stop it blowing shut.
During the bad weather on the Henredes the door was caught in the winds and slammed open and shut a couple of times and broke the catch. So new one bought £1-99 and I put it on today ready for the windless and sunny days

Fitted triple ciggy lighter sockets in cab, double sockets in hab and an extra awning light over the hab door so we can charge up what the hell we like and not fall down the steps (y)
Or that's the plan:eek:

We repainted back bumper. fixed a new handrail .and put a drop down shelf by the bed for me.

.carpets out, hooks inside garage doors, netting pockets for pan & brush & wet weather bits

will be putting in my two refillable gasit bottles if the weather holds out if not will do them in the week thanks to techno100 for the diagram

The mixer tap in our kitchen had become increasingly stiff to swing out of the way, this was resulting in the base of the tap twisting rather than just the centre section. After stripping it down and giving the internal seals and any moving areas a good coating of plumbers silicon grease it's now working perfectly again.

I also measured the physical size of the leisure batteries ready to order replacements. I don't know the history of them and they are an unmatched pair so decided to buy a pair of Lucas replacements. They seem to be a good compromise between price and performance.

Put together my new ProRider E-Tourer electric bike... and went for my first bike ride in high on 40 years!
Three miles (pedal assist) and it didn't fall apart :D

Not fixed yet but stripped out ready for Dometic to replace the cooling unit this aft

Job done
I can recommend Jonathan of JMR caravan services very good to watch the job being done. Now I just hope it is cured

Fixed mirror guards to the van wing mirrors.

Removed our home made towing bracket from the van and now in the process of turning it into a motorbike carry frame. Steel ordered today. Once it all arrives it will be lots of cutting welding grinding painting fitting and see if it works well after a test run.

More bloody damp.....

I am definitely never ever ever ever having a coach built again, and have told my wife if I ever consider it to remind of the work I have had to put in.

To be fair, when I bought it I knew it had damp in the luton and got a good price because of that, and duly repaired it all.

I cant believe how quickly and unnoticed damage is done. Not even any smell until I peeled the walls back. My damp meter picked up an elevated level only a few months ago and as it was winter / spring I kept an eye on it, but I think it has been going on for a while. and had spread into the floor ply as well.

Daniel.

Kitchen waste trap leaked.
Ordered a replacement but it's not the same and doesn't fit.
Only like for like I've found is sold by Reimo in Germany and they and the local sales dealer don't like replying to enquiries.
I've therefore sickaflex'd the original screw base for the time being.

Nothing to fix, so clambered underneath the van and washed the chassis..it's as clean as the roof now!

Water pump and non return valve.
About to venture out and decided to put some fresh water in the tank.
Filled the tank until running out of the inlet - no overflow on the tank.
Switched on the pump and opened the tap - nothing!
Checked fuse OK
Dismantled seat- bloody water everywhere - note to self make sure access cap is very tight after winter Draindown. Cap is lower than inlet.
Checked power to pump connection OK
Bailed water out with a cup so putting arm in would not cause it to overflow again then pulled the plug out and drained lots of water out.
Reached in and Gave the pump a good wack which fired it up but still no water. Removed the inline non return valve which was jamed and freed it off.
All working again and back to where I started just need to put some water in

Phone's been shutting down regularly lately so bought a new pukka battery on £bay £7.95 - works fine now:)

I don't do fixing, no aptitude for such things, but waste disposal in kitchen had suddenly stopped, checked fuse was OK, then started looking for replacements

Went on the Franke web site, found mine. then saw link to spare parts, exploded drawing mentioned reset button, didn't even know it had one, pressed, all working again :D:D(y)(y)

It might not be a big job, but I was just about to pay out £400 for a new one :)
