I did not fix .but got my van back on the road. Head gasket fixed head skimmed valves done water pump changed belts changed. So now I hope this van of mine will last another 28 years.

Not on the m/home but on the trailer. Wanted to reduce the weight in the garage by moving the spare wheel so made a mounting bracket which attaches to the rear cross member on the Armitage trailer. I then fixed a strip of uPVC to the bed so that I can pull the back wheel of the scooter further forward to counteract the increased weight on the rear of the trailer which would have made the nose weight too light. Also made a simple fixing for the winch so th

at it was removed from the rear locker as well.

Total drain blockage from kitchen sink. Found it was a shared drain to the grey tank with the washroom basin so dirty washing up water came up in the washroom. Unblocked with the aid of a plunger borrowed from the site management. Shower OK as a separate drain.

I had to fit a new tap as the old one started leaking, luckily we noticed right away so no water damage. Quite pleased with myself in fixing it as it was quite awkward fiddling around under the sink in the motorhome

fixed the old flyscreen issue.... you know the one... southern France, sun out, door open, flyscreen closed, wind blows, door slam shuts flyscreen broke... SO cut out black mesh, buy chenille strip flyscreen from Narbonne Accessories, fix header of new item to frame of old flyscreen with superglue and as they say Robert is your Mothers Brother!! Better than the black mesh cos always in place to deter the flyie bitie kinda things and you can walk through it with things in your hands!

Awning was sticking now working fine.
Oil and filter changed.
Cambelt changed.
Waxoil seize sprayed under.
Bed gas struts changed.
x2 new roof lights installed.
12v socket installed in garage.
Wobbly reversing light fixed.
Battery top up.

Just switched them off now although outside temp is also dropping so I would expect the fridge temp to also drop

Not by me but Ian at John's Cross fixed my fridge not working on gas. Just a bad connection but took a long time to find. SWMBO noticed a bulge on the inside of a rear tyre as she was behind in a car to bring me back. On investigation a sort of hernia through the side wall. Replaced with a budget tyre from the nearby tyre place so now on rear there is one Vanco eco from France (stupidly expensive) and a budget tyre. Correct tyres Vanco four seasons on their way from Germany and will all need swapping over when I get them.
Even the tyre places are having trouble getting some tyres, must be a high demand with all the potholes.

Elusive little bar stewards, I finished up moving the back ones to the front helped with a touch of bluetac and put standard bump stop tape at the rear.

Busy weekend:

• I gave up testing the many brands of bumper 'restorers' to make my 10 year old Ducato bumpers a consistent shade of their original mid-grey. They all stink of petrol and work for about a week before reverting to the blotchy water stained and faded look. Instead I spent a couple of hours preparing and applying 'Forever Black' to the front and rear which has stained them solid black. The van now looks much less shabby. If it still looks good in a couple of weeks, I'll order another pack and do the side strips.
  
• Replaced the driver's side windscreen washer with one that actually manages to squirt the window. The nozzle barrel had disappeared from the original, so could only dribble. I got a quick eBay replacement to get me through the MOT... but that mostly shot the water over the roof at anything less than 40mph and couldn't be aimed any lower without blocking itself. New one is much better.
• Took the van out last weekend to go mountain biking. As I was setting off, I realised I might have forgotten to lock the sliding door on the shower room. So I tested by braking... It slid forwards hard enough to break one of the tabs. So took the door off and replaced the tiny piece of plastic that costs a fiver!
  
• Put resistor packs in so my LED side-lights don't trigger the 'bulb blown' light on the dash. So now I have nice bright side lights, but no warning light.
• Attached a couple of stick-on and screwed-on storage nets near the bed. Useful for putting rings, glasses, charging phones and their cables in.
• Wifey put some sticky-back felt on the hinges of the drop-leaf table I built. Hopefully it won't rattle quite as much now!
