What are you up to this weekend?

Very nice Paul, I love mine too and daughter loves hers. Trouble for me is mine is set up for hillclimbing so not very user friendly on public roads (hard suspension and race seats with four point harnesses) so when I spotted this one on evilbay for peanuts I chucked a bid in and won it for pocket money.

We bought ours after many years as bikers after losing far to many friends to Mr Magoo car drivers and we love it. Proper wind in the hair instead of balaclava earplugs and skidlids or it would be if I had any
This was the last one before the 5

Going up to Scarborough to see the Cock o North road racing tomorrow with some friends I havn't seen for a good while(y)

Just been boogying on down to Soul2funk at the Upton blues festival, well just clapping a bit really, great fun. Nice group of funsters as well.

Down in the New Forest Denny Wood bit of cycling this morning chillin this afternoon. Glorious weather got some nice kebabs for the bbq later and my last bottle of 2 euro Italian rose.
Need to go back n get some more.

Very relaxed @CWH .... lots of places especially along the western/North Western coasts. Stunningly beautiful sunsets along there. No problem wilding and if you take the time and just ask any local farmer/landowner then you will be welcomed. The roads are narrow but mostly really quiet with tons of spots to stop overnight and most of the towns/villages have somewhere to stop. Pubs will allow you to stop as long as you offer them some business.
Discovered this one last night..... it's delightful.
Come on over, you'll enjoy the craic.

Having been in the south of Spain for 3 months I now need to do some essential maintenance ready for some forthcoming rallies with our area MCC. Just got back from Todds at Lostock, Preston and Maplins at Blackburn with some spare bits to replace. Hopefully the jobs will be straight forward.
Just to let you know, the high temperatures came much earlier this year, we had highs of 39 degrees and travelling north to Santander for the ferry it went to over 40 degrees passing Madrid. We stopped off in Burgos for 3 days for the city festival and the temperature was 35 degrees.
Even so we will be down there again in the new year.

Looking on the web and listening to the news I don't envy anyone travelling to their holiday destinations at the present time. When we arrived back in the UK at Portsmouth we travelled over to Kent to see our relatives and the M20 was closed from J8 southbound to be used as a parking area for wagons. Hopefully the problems have been sorted.

Tell me about it :( its 40 deg C in Lake Garda now. we leave on tour his week, there in 3 weeks, hope its back to the normal high 20's low 30's by then. Last year weather was awful July/August..No global warming?:censored:

Ops! off topic:) just deep cleaning the van... this morning fitted a Saris Bones 3 bike rack to her hatch back. A: to stop her ruining the bikes. B: destroying the car

Just collected this from London today, non runner, 183K miles, no compression. Bubbly rear arches (standard MX5) no MOT but only £310!

Tomorrow we go to Apley Farm shop for a classic cars and ice cream day and will be displaying Roary, my '95 Mk1 MX5 hillclimb and sprint car.

Had a cracking day, about 55 cars were pre booked to be on display but in the end about a hundred turned out. Drizzly start to the day but by 9.30 it had stopped and turned into a lovely warm sunny summer day. Excellent BBQ with fresh meat from Apley's own butcher and to round the day off we've just had a wonderful lamb dinner with the lamb coming from Apley's own farms of course. Even had a lot of positive comments about "Roary" and a little friendly "noise contest" between the three hillclimbers present, myself, Rich with his Porsche Boxster Mod Prod racer and Graham with his Mk2 Midget Mod Prod. Nobody won but the crowd gathered quite quickly when we opened them up :-)

Just had a good weekend at The Dairy, near Deal. Really restful - bought some icecream made on the premises which was lovely. Not sure we'll go back again as nothing nearby but good for a real chill out weekend.

At home this weekend, I'm working on Saturday morning and Alan is taking the MH to the dealer as one of the blinds broke while we were on holiday and they reckon they've got a fix for the dodgy water level sensor.
