What are you up to this weekend?

Just returned from a day at the 40's weekend at Ramsey nr Wisbech, as usual it was outstanding, well worth a visit to it, and the wonderful, free to enter, Rural Museum next door.
Dancing tonight, usually to a Big Band and , sometimes interrupted by a bloody air raid? It's open again tomorrow if you're in the area. 👍

On Sunday heading to Canterbury P&R. Evening meal in Old Gate Inn.

Monday, take the P&R into Canterbury for a “day out” then drive down to the Drum Inn for an early Tunnel crossing to France on Monday.

I wouldn’t say that I am excited but we now have 88 hours to go!🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

if it were me i’d stay at Canterbury as the entrance to the Drum Inn is very steep, the pub is lovely though but very pricy and they have the cheek to charge £25/30 on top

You may already know this of course

Have a great trip though just the same 👍

Thank you but, yes, we have stayed at the Drum Inn before.

Personally, although I like Canterbury P&R and the Old Gate Inn, I don’t like the road from there to the Tunnel when it is dark.

We have an early crossing so the 1 mile, (or less), to the Tunnel, via the Motorway is preferred.

We are now almost desperate to go as we have delayed the trip three times already, because of scheduled surgical operations, each one cancelled at the last minute. After the last cancellation we decided to declare my “unavailability “ for five weeks.

Fortunately, although inconvenient, my problem is not life threatening, hence the cancellations in favour of more needy persons.

We are off tomorrow for 4 nights at the CAMC Wharfedale site. Hope the wind isn’t as strong as being suggested for the 90 minute trip. Weather isn’t looking great but who cares we will just enjoy being away😀

Well that was a fun night. Got battered by the wind typical bank holiday really hope it improves

Off to Newhaven tomorrow and then on the ferry first thing Saturday to Dieppe. First time tour around France in the MH 😎
Enjoy the freedom of motorhoming in France. Lots of advice on here if you need it.
Dieppe local roads will be busy around the big supermarkets. It's also a busy day for the French heading home at the end of their holidays.

Enjoy France, but don't forget your seasick pills, it's likely to be a rough crossing I fear.

in Aalborg on route back from Norway and the tall ships regatta is on by chance this weekend and they have started to arrive. Here is a picture of the old with the new

I'll be enjoying a pint and singing with the Male Voice Choir in Bury St Edmunds Cathedral at the 32nd East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival which is being held for the fourth year running in the beautiful St. Edmundsbury Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds!

Very unusual for a beer festival in a cathedral I think.

Wonderful event and great acoustics.

Honest question.

Why setup a Temporary Holiday Site, in a permanent campsite?

Or am I misunderstanding something.
Can't answer really but it's a nice site that people may not visit individually, no different from fun rallies on sites. Strangest one is the THS at Ferry Meadows which belongs to the other club😀

Arrived at Wharfedale CAMC yesterday after a 90 minute drive in stormy conditions. Today is going to be sunshine and showers with a strong wind. Off to Kettlewell on the local bus shortly
