Getting the motorhome ready to leave on Tuesday, for our three month trip into France and Spain.

After picking up refurbished roadster yesterday, went to Thruxton for the Historic race meeting.
Visiting as member of a car club, park on the embankment past/through the campsite, which is free for the weekend if you have a ticket. Loads of MH pitched up, so will do it next year.
Returning tomorrow.
Contrast and compare £28 for the event. Silverstone F1 next month, camping and entrance is £2400. Will probably be our last Silverstone if they hike the prices again for next year, as much as we treat it as a holiday.

Off to Damage Barton site in Devon in the morning. After abandoning our northern trip at the start of the month due to the abysmal weather!

Wandered around Helmsley this afternoon as there is a huge biker rally on, MAG event I think. Thousands of them. All middle aged, fat gut, long grey hair, long grey beard and covered in tattoos. And that’s just the women.

If that’s the one at the top of the hill at Woolacombe you can get the free bus into town if you walk across he road to the Haven site

After 8 months & 9 days waiting (not that I'm counting) we're picking up our new MH in the morning.
Having retrieved all of the 'essential' items from the loft, it seems we could fill the cupboards of a family kitchen along with a garage.

Well tomorrow we pick up the van (finally) and going straight to the ITV station (MOT) to weigh it. Then we load all the stuff we think we'll need, then going up the mountains somewhere to overnight and test everything.
At RIAT. Arrived yesterday - cracking day of arrivals and validation displays. Enjoying today. It’s 33deg inside the van despite screens and having doors wide open! Due to be hotter still tomorrow!

Off to Dodds Weir campsite tomorrow .. the all or nothing experience final tour dates are coming to an end so we are off to the town theatre to watch then heading home on Saturday to go to Stratford races ladies day on Sunday (in a premier inn tho as with friends)

I think so but I only found out about it today, I was having a pint in the pub around the corner from the CL i'm on and one of the locals seeing my bike came over for a chat, he told me about it, his Mrs will be on the gate apparently £5 entry I think he said.

It's the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford... the best Air show in the UK involving military aircraft from all over the world.
