We drove to a site north of Reims, so management can get the washing done before we drive to Ypres. Ypres is the only site we have booked on our trip as some sites we were looking at were full due to bank holiday and Dutch schools 2 weeks holiday.

Speaking of the Dutch, we come across many on our trip, lovely people and I always take the opportunity to speak to them Dutch, as we lived in Holland for 2 years back in the late 80s. Some good laughs with them yesterday.

French have been pleasant as well but found Belgiums on our last site a little disrespectful.

Also yesterday we had a two other UK vans, all Swift's, I know you funsters love Swift MHomes. Anyway one poor couple we driving along toll road and their sun roof shattered as they were driving along. It seems they may not have secured the "lugs" into the roof window properly. They've had to cover roof with some sheeting until they get home.

As it happens they both come from North West and his brother lives in village I grew up in. Small world.

The other Swift MHome belongs to a Mobile approved service engineer from Wales and they have dealings with Swift's and she's heard of my son who works there. Another small world.

Well going to get BBQ out in next hour or so and get a Sunday breakfast fry up on the go. Cheers Smudger55

Have found them to be the most friendly people I have met, took me near on an hour to get back to the van when we were on a site last year as the lady opposite us loved a chat😁😁
Mrs CC had gone had a shower and was ready for bed time I got back😁😁

Had to put a hold on sorting our Iceland trip as HRH has a hospital appointment she has been waiting for for 18 months that is bang in the middle of when we were proposing to go.
Not keen on Iceland myself. I prefer the frozen section in Tesco.

CIRENCESTER ! Hurrah ! Looks like the best weather in UK , so looking forward to negotiating that godawful approach road ! 😱

And money too I guess, they are a bit needy
Mate at school in the 70s Dad had one ( he worked on the oil rigs ) , we used to go round after school and open the garage doors and just stare at it ! It was so beautiful, had a hard top that was suspended from the garage ceiling to put on and take off !
Stunning cars . 👍
