Be glad when this working lark is finished.

We are at Deepdale for the Hygge weekend. Not something we have tried before but the folk nights in the past have been good.
Monday we might go down to Great Yarmouth for the day and stay overnight at Gorleston by the sea wall.

I didn’t know what a Hygge Weekend was so I had it look it up. It sounds like a wife-swapping event. Do you throw your motorhome keys into the centre of a circle in the grass?

We survived the first night with no swapping of keys. not that it have made any difference after the amount I managed to get down my neck tonight. A good few pints with some nice company but no dancing from me .

Not in buddy this weekend but off to Northampton, pop to a wine bar then to the Derngate theatre to watch the jersey boy’s musical then an Italian meal before getting the train home

Playing trombone tonight with Ember Big Band in concert for a local hospice. There are 20 of us with songs from the 1930s to modern era. It's being conducted by Alan Rogers who does the Strictly live tour band and compered by Ken Bruce. Sold out audience of about 400. Hoping to improve on last year's £13,000.

We went away last night for the first time this year.Just the one night to make sure everything is working as it should before we head out for the season.
We went to The Blue Bell Inn ,Lound ,near Retford (4 miles from the A1).
We highly recommend this Pub ,the food they do is amazing, the menu changes weekly.
At the rear of the pub is a Cl ,lovely little site ,only a tenner without EHU, £15 with.
A great stop-off if travelling up or down the country, or if local just go for the grub as we did.
Check them out online.
P.s if wanting to eat book in advance👍

Put go juice in Bertie ready to take it to Smallman Hall in Bridgenorth for service and tuning. They have been looking after it for a few years now.

Attending, and exhibiting, at a Classic Motorcycle Show in Cardiff.

Unfortunately I will have to ride the bike there in heavy rain and strong winds which will mean that all the preparation work will be undone. It is just as well that we can get there today, (show opens tomorrow), as there will be a lot of cleaning to do.

Still, I can look forward to a family holiday next Wednesday. Mrs Maison and I,together with daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren aged 22 and 18, are flying out to Madeira. Apologies to anyone on the next table to us in the hotel bar!

This will be my view on Sunday. The Papa John’s Trophy Final at Wembley watching my beloved Bolton Wanderers take on Plymouth. A crowd of around 74,000 expected. Great support for two teams currently in the 3rd tier of English football. We are staying at Abbey Wood CMHC site for easy travel into London.
