What are you up to this weekend?

On Saturday we will be catching the ferry from Picton (South Island) to Wellington (North Island) for five weeks touring of the North Island. Unfortunately, the east coast has just had a cyclone go through. Many of the places we planned to visit may be off limits. We can't postpone our trip because we have got two lots of house exchange guests from Hawaii staying in our house.
I hope you enjoy your trip despite the weather issues.

We'll be travelling from mainland England to the Isle of Wight. Doesn't sound quite so adventurous does it  ?

I would love to go to the Isle of Wight again. We have friends who live in a delightful thatched farmhouse near the White Mouse pub at Chale. I'm assuming it hasn't fallen into the sea!
I would be curious to know how much it costs to take a motorhome on the ferry? I was once told that that stretch off water was the most expensive ferry crossing in the world. I don't know if that is true.

Through CAMC we got a crossing from Lymington to Yarmouth for £140 and 10 pence return. That's about half the regular price. Didn't think that was too bad (8 metre Moho). What the 10p is for I don't know 🤔.
