What are you up to this weekend?

Escaping on Cap Finistere back to Javea

When driving by car do you make a stopover in a hotel or press on. I ask because my brother lives there and I find it just a little too far for one hop so looking for a hotel roughly mid journey from Santander.

We Prefer Bilbao, its an hour less but landscape not as nice.

Motorhome, we stop in Haro or similar.

Any of wife's cars, we share the driving. My Car, we get there very fast, usually just me.

We also avoid the early morning departures from Santander as we would have to get a hotel.

Big family get-together tonight. First time all 4 siblings plus spouses have been together in the same room for years, other than at funerals (& even then not always managed the full clan).

Saturday night we play a pub gig at The White Hart, Tetford. Good food, good beer & good foot-tapping music. The van will definitely be staying in the pub carpark until after a late breakfast! It's not all that far from Jasmin Camping, so @Jim if you have any happy campers looking for an evening out, The White Hart is 17ml or 30 mins drive away.

Sunday off to play in an afternoon Irish music session in Lincoln, taking one sister & her husband for a few tunes on their way home to the Welsh borders. I hope they've remembered to put their instruments in the car!

Off to a surprise 50th Birthday party nr Ascot, brother coming along so should have some fun in the van.

Unfortunately we can’t take him right down to the point, as it’s a protected area. But there are lots of other places and then we shall leave him and go down.
We’ve not been since the sea breached the point. We walked right down past the lighthouse to the coastguard houses at the end , on our last visit. Ralph’s listening to the ferries on his scanner thing at the moment .
I’m drinking gin !
