What are you up to this weekend?

Very lucky to be parked up inside the London Emissions Zone on Wimbledon Common.
It's helpful that my little brother is the Chief Executive of Wimbledon Common
It's not what you know but who you know

We are at Kilnsea , Bluebell pond campsite.
Going for a nice long walk ( with Buster of course ) and a Sunday pub lunch tomorrow, we’ve snuck a cheeky Monday in too this weekend.View attachment 192086
Unfortunately we can’t take him right down to the point, as it’s a protected area. But there are lots of other places and then we shall leave him and go down.
We’ve not been since the sea breached the point. We walked right down past the lighthouse to the coastguard houses at the end , on our last visit. Ralph’s listening to the ferries on his scanner thing at the moment .
I’m drinking gin !

We stayed at this one a few years back and were watching Short Eared owls and boxing hares in the next field. The site owner kept KuneKune pigs and gave us some of his own veery tasty sausages.(y)

Has the breach been repaired to enable walking out to the point?

Enjoy your stay

Not sure , until we try tomorrow. There was one of those jeep thingies with big wheels to go in the water at low tide on a tv program earlier on in the week about the lighthouse on Spurn point . There’s supposed to be lots of wildlife here. But we arrived tonight when it was dark. And it is dark. Pitch black in fact !

We were helping to register blokes for PSA testing, issue their blood test forms and check they'd completed their 'permission' forms correctly. A bit non-plussed when I had to say to a chap he hadn't completed some of the questions. Oh, can't you ask me? 'Q1 - Have you had sexual intercourse or ejaculated in the last 24 hours?' - he was 79, bless him!

Then one of our members, expecting his son imminently, filled in the forms for him as far as he could - and I said immediately 'Bill - don't you DARE answer Q1 for him - that's TMI even for your dad when you're 40+ !'

Got 75 attendees which was good.

Came out of there, walked across the flat tarmac carpark without my consciousness informing me I was about to step onto a speed hump. Full length, flat on my left knee so all 10 stone onto my kneecap. Cannot bend the leg without instant agony, and can't bear any pressure anywhere - so sitting down's hard, standing up's hard and so is walking even the 10 steps to the loo, when I have to sit down then stand up again after. It's much further from our bed and I average 3 x a night. Haven't had a drink since 9pm ........

Oh wot fun .....

Been into London today with two gorgeous 6' birds;) one my daughter who is a tall lady and the other my lovely lady who is a slightly older version of the same:) Great day as always, I love the hustle and bustle of crowds all speaking different languages, sitting in the sun people watching doesn't come any better. My daughter talked me into a wrap in a wrap restaurant, must say it was lovely I had more or less every filling and washed it down with a beer. Lovely jubly. Don't know how far we walked but my feet ache a bit. Great day out.....(y) I'm off to bed.....

The reason I mentioned birds earlier was that on our way home we got the Met line from Baker street as we did a month ago when the same pigeon got onto the train with us and when the doors shut he wondered up and down the train eating crumbs until we arrived at Finchley road station, he than stood at the door and flew out and away probably back to Baker street station ready to get the next train. Amazing..:)

Watching Leicester Tigers v Castres on Saturday, two duties as Churchwarden on Sunday and hoping to find a bit of time to clean the MH ready for our next weekend away.

We’re off to Hawes on Saturday then on to Ribblehead Viaduct Monday , I think , then who knows which direction we shall go.
It depends on the weather . We may even end up going along the East coast, if the weather forecast is better.
But we shall definitely be going to Whitby , Friday , for Goth Weekend !:party2:

Flying to Alicante where home is currently parked in an airport carpark !

In the week we have been back in the UK, I've found people to be in far to much of a rush, impatient, rude and aggressive. On the other hand I got a recommendation for a campsite in the Czech Republic from a guy I got talking to in the pub. Also in the time we have been away ..... approaching 14 weeks, nothing significant appears to have happened, the daily rigmarole of life continues.

Off to c&cc site at staveley Cumbria to spend I hope most of the day in brewery that makes IMO the finest ale in the country ,Windermere pale ale :pop:

Preparing the van for our Belgium and France trip at mid term

Going to view my very first Hymer B544 1993 not to buy, but a member on Classic Hymer's FB group has asked if I wanted to see one in the flesh and I'm taking my reluctant OH with me to see if he gets it like I do, not very hopeful but wish me luck so excited I'm pathetic :Grin:

& other Dutch sites as they regularly have that model.
Isn't @Cleve Hymer a 544 ? Sure in his posts he stated that it would be for sale on his return.
