The Grandchildren (aged 13 and 16) are staying this weekend so, tonight steak dinner around the dining table and lots of chat.

Tomorrow take grandson to his football match where he plays in goal for his team, then all off to the cinema in the afternoon. Grand-daughter off to Scouts, where she is a Junior Leader, to help sort out the Scout Christmas Post for delivery.

We are venturing into Norfolk to visit my in laws for Christmas.

Pass the parcel should be fun. It usually has an unplucked pheasant, rabbit or box of shotgun cartridges as the prize.(y)

We won an unplucked goose in a pub raffle there once :xeek:

Thankfully they swapped it for a smaller frozen duck to make it easier to carry home on our motorbike. :xThumb:

Can't get away so taking the van for a run round the county tomorrow, let her stretch her legs.

Hopefully a music weekend in Lincoln for us.

Sat afternoon a tune session at The Museum of Lincolnshire Life.
Sat evening a Christmas concert by Lincoln Choral Society. A friend is singing with them & it's her drive we will be parked up on over the weekend. Another group of friends are playing a gig in town, so might just catch their 2nd set after the concert. Bit of a contrast of styles!

An Irish music pub session on Sunday afternoon, although a fairly folk rocky interpretation of Irish music. Mostly the lot that entertained us so well at the Boston airfield meet back in July. Always a great session. A lot of the band from Sat night, so I hope they still have some energy left!

Then a birthday meal for the OH somewhere in Lincoln. We think wheelchair access to the place we want to go to could be difficult, so we may have to have a change of plan. We'll suss that out on Sat afternoon, because it's only a few yards from where we are staying.

Then drop into CamperUK as they open on the way home on Monday morning. They are going to fit the new airbag ECU that Fiat have supplied FOC, despite the van being out of warranty. I'll do a closure post on the thread about that once it's all sorted.

Oh, yes, & I've got a set of accounts to finalise. That might be Sunday morning's job if I don't finish them tonight. Oh well, it's a great life if you don't weaken!

According to the weather forecast manning the pumps by the look of it. :xlaugh: By Monday morning they have forecast that we should receive equivalent to 6 months rainfall for the region , 200m2. No idea where they get that from as I've never seen that amount here except when we had a Gota fria.

Thats rubbish, BBC says showers and they never get it wrong.
