What are you up to this weekend?

Not away this weekend so Joe's servicing the Discovery he recently bought. He's just had to pop to the shop to buy yet more tools!!! He's a whole room to himself for all his tools and he hasn't got anything to fit on something in the engine.
1. I am not a room ?
2 Canterbury club site this weekend may even meet Ian

Joe

Did you have a good booze cruise?
Sorry we won't see you this weekend, was looking forward to meeting up again. Another time, another rally next year.

Clearing out and eating up 'emergency rations' from the motorhome. Lots to choose from forrin' shopping purchases: tinned cassoulet, soupe de poissons, pate de jambon, anchovies, gratin dauphinois, plus several cartons of Longlife milk and Birds custard, tinned fruit........ but best of all a Fray Bentos tinned snake and pigmy pie........mmmmm, it'll be a nice but naughty easy meal tonight with leeks, sprouts, carrots and peas and enough veg left over for bubble and squeak tomorrow. I do enjoy winter menus. The weight's not an issue as I travel solo in the m/h so can use the saving for culinary pleasures but I don't know why I take Fray Bentos pies away with me, they're rubbish at Scrabble.

My weekend's on similar lines... Emptied the moho when we sold it (obviously) so I now need to pack into one place the stuff that will go into the new one when I get it - it's MUCH smaller so lots to be discarded.

Doing a charity 5k fun run with my mate at 9:30am tomorrow dressed up as Santa with 3000 other santa's!. This was us last year, I am the one on the left.

Loading the van up ready for heading off to Portugal via Spain with only one stop over at my sisters planned. The weather here in the Limousin is clear blue skies but very frosty and last year after Christmas was very wet so we will try to be Snowbirds this year

A huge week end ..... It is here and everywhere in France the week end of TELETHON .

My stadium is fully booked up with all sorts of exibitions : karate but also different indoors matches to collect money like Hand ball matches with children.

Each time I could escape I had to go and look after Dad, and help Mum with different other things!

Hand ball is still on , and they will stay here part of the night...

Southport this weekend not in the mh but being forced into stopping in a hotel for a long weekend partying with family

Going to pop up to Bedfordshire to say hello to my lovely ladies dads grave. Wish him merry Christmas and leave him a little something to flower in the spring. He was a good old boy even though he ran off with a blonde bimbo when my lovely lady was just twenty one....:)

Off to bath and christmas market to enjoy mulled wine and eating and some shopping maybe.

Every year about this time we spend a few nights at Ayr Park in St Ives, Christmas shopping, soaking up the atmosphere and giving the van a run out. Meeting friends for Sunday lunch at the wonderful Halsetown Inn. Friday through to Monday and (for Ayr Park) good value at £24 a night.

Just returned from a long weekend in Holland, mainly Noordwijkhout and Venlo. First time in the MH on a cold weekend. -6c. Experienced a whole new ball game. Drove up there with the MH being heated with the engine and a heater in the back which also runs off the engine. When we arrived the gas boiler had dumped all the water. Luckily I read a thread just before going up there where I learned the gas heating could still be run without water in the system. Sunday morning drove around various camping sites to try and find water. canals everywhere, water all around us but nowhere to fill up. The camp sites had turned all the outside water off as -6c. Eventually managed to fill up at a shop we were visiting. Some beautiful spots around there, but I think its only a summer place.
