Christmas is coming... time to make gifts. Todays gift; homemade marmalade. Copied Delia's recipe, well doubled it. After cutting slicing and paying out far more than Rolls Royce marmalade, we discovered the materials would not fit into any single cooking pot. Boiled it for hours and discovered we had too much marmalade to fit all the pots we had. Compromised with Tuppaware and left for the evening.
On returning the marmalade still had the consistency of water, thin water, and the peel lay on the bottom.
Googled solutions this morning and poured it all back into large container to cook for another three hours.
Now stickier, we filled the pots again, it might be OK but is now a much darker shade of brown.
Will anyone notice or be polite enough not to tell us?

Absolutely nothing :hugs:

This weekend - a bit more kiteboarding, probably a BBQ this evening and breakfast at a winery in the morning :) :) :) :)

........ but next weekend - probably scraping the ice off the windscreen, some exciting grocery shopping at Asda and begin stripping the hallway wallpaper. :( :(:( :(

What a difference a plane ride can make.

I am fitting Air Assist to the rear of our motor home so that I can upgrade it to 3850kg,

Our first full weekend away in our 737. Lovely little site near Haltwhistle with beautiful views across the Northumberland countryside.

Staying with my son. Being taken tomorrow for a day at the Black Country Living Museum. Not been for years!

Just back from long weekend at South Lychett Manor near Poole. Arrived just in time to witness Storm Angus passing through the south coast. Never seen or heard rain like it - at least we've tested the waterproofing on the van!

Ours leaked like a sieve in the heavy rain Saturday night! When we got home Sunday a quick look round and the gland for the solar panel was loose. As it was wet used CT1 and now watertight again, thankfully.

Spending the weekend clearing the garden, repairing the raised flower beds and painting the fences at my daughter's School, (she is the Deputy Head).

They have an Inspection next week and no money to tidy up the School surrounds. There will be eight of us, just praying for good weather.

You should get yourself a tunnel booking and go to Brugge and pick up some polar bears. @Robert Clark will be doing GTP and we can get an advantage. Win win
