What are you up to this weekend?

Sold our house in Kent and currently in our house in France. Flying back tomorrow evening to pick my car up, get some bits for the house from B&Q and Wickes then driving back on Saturday.
So you'll be based in France full time now? Lovely.

Alan is on call on Saturday and we've got a friend's son's 18th party on Saturday night in Canterbury so home this weekend.

My Youngest Daughter recently got Engaged, so we are celebrating with all the Family in the Osbourne View, near Fareham on Sunday.

My youngest son is off to Budapest for a stag weekend, I've not been myself but I hear from others that Budapest is an interesting city to visit.

We are picking up our Motorhome today. It's been in with Johns Cross Motorhomes.. (I have to say they are a very very good, competent and nice to deal with, and I can't recommend them enough). Some additional plugs with USB's, Aerial and some warranty work being undertaken. We are then taking the twins down to West Wittering for the weekend. BBQ, bikes and chilling.

And as is normal for us. We pickup our Motorhome and the heavens open . It's been fine all week and the day we start to pack the van, it rains

Maybe we will do some Sun spotting... Oh I wished I was back at Camp Verger !!

Totally free weekend all alone ( wife going away for girlie break ) . Booze and unhealthy food beckons !

We will be braving a Dover Calais crossing , off to Lommel in Belgium for World Motocross Champs.. 2 nights in Eindhoven and one in a DS3 LOL

We are off to Pickering , a few drinks around the town then curry at Spice4u on Saturday night. Planning a day trip to Scarborough or Whitby on Sunday as we've not been for a while.

Setting off for our first 'school holiday' trip with my grandsons, we will have a few days to recover then similar with John's grandchildren, then dog sitting for 2 weeks.
Took him to the van today, but don't think he likes it, last one it was straight in up on the ushaped lounge seat and a 'you are not going without me look' we did go without him though as not ours.
Thought he might take to this one so we could get a few days away while we are looking after him, will have to wait and see.

Off to Silverstone for the historic racing festival - promised to help a friend get his Cooper on the track for each of the three days, have to be a bit inventive sometimes. Boomtown Rats on Friday night, probably give them a miss, Stranglers on Saturday night.

Errrr... Gypsies sitting :rolleyes::D....

... But also some tidying. I've emptied half of my garage , need to take some more away. Then if little Rosie is busy talking in English with JJ, I might start emptying the attic. I've been quite a few times to the council tip already. the guys know me now and wave bye bye see you soon;)!

We were going to Teddington but London is on shut down. Ride London is on which shuts hundreds of roads around the city for the weekend. Great event for all to see but many wingers on the radio from car and taxi drivers it sounds like motorhome fun.:)

Spending the weekend at a site just 45 mins from home.Walk the dog, some good food, followed by a glass or two of my recently bought rhubarb and ginger gin.

On our way home after spending a month in France. Currently on the aire attached to the campsite at Neufchatel en bray and the aire at Monteuil sur mer for our last night tomorrow. Back to the real world and work on Monday.

I like the sound of that gin. May I ask where from @Dizzy Izzy ?

We are off with @cliffandger to Fontgary near Cardiff hoping to sit in their new purchase.... a MHF conservatory. That's if Clifton can get it up!

@Mr Mousy ..it's made by the Edinburgh Gin Company,I got mine from John Lewis but you can order on line. They also do a very nice Rasberry Gin.

Sorting out all my historic guides, maps and stopover books for upcoming trip, won't have mobile internet so doing it the old fashioned way. Reckon I'll need a bookcase at this rate. Also updated my satnav with memory card and latest European maps, and also loaded up all the POI's I could find until I started getting a headache from information overload! As you can see my trips are almost a personal challenge
not to use a campsite lol. Enough of that nonsense in England

Update on our weekend. As previously posted we displayed our bikes and manned a tombola stall for the RNLI and raised over £700. Then we called in at the Muston scarecrow festival. There are some really inventive people out there.
