What are you up to this weekend?

Burrs Park for the cricket v Pakistan at Old Trafford , proper excited .

I am told we are spending the weekend packing for our hols next week.

Isabel is panicking that we can't get all our luggage in the car so we will probably have a dry run at packing the car too.

If only she packed less shi* she wouldn't need to worry.:)
Alarmingly my wife just phoned and informed me that we were packing tonight. I am intrigued, I don't pick up the van until tomorrow, so I'm not entirely sure what she is going to pack stuff into. Maybe I'll just spectate!

Heading over to Rufforth for Jez and Lynne's rally on Friday till Sunday. It would be nice if the weather holds. Looking forward to meeting a few new faces.

Unless there's some footie on the box I'm probably going to sit down at the table and try and make sense of all these maps, gazetteers, Aires guides and historical places to visit books.
Methinks I've got enough places to visit for about a 100 years? Currently I'm on a crash course on French departments/regions and where they are relative to each other, don't really want to drive round France more than once! UK shires are so much easier.
If anybody wants an historical tour of France just follow the confused looking bloke in the Leisuredrive Transit, with camera batteries on permanent charge, and you'll see everything from prehistoric cave paintings to Vauban Fortresses! Least I hope it's an historical tour and not an hysterical one...

Starting a week's tour, Loch Morlich 2 nights, Scrabster 5 nights with some fishing, Ullapool 2 nights, Fort Augustus 2 nights then home. longest trip so far, and with wing mirror replaced.

Going to Brickhouses Campsite in Chipping, Lancashire for a few nights with our dogshare doggie, Piper. Haven't seen her since May and we've been missing her.

Busy weekend for us. Party Saturday night so taking the camper. No worries about being over the limit. Sunday lunch, picnic beside the lake in Noiretable meeting up with friends, Sunday evening driving up towards Never to join some friends boating on the canal to join them for dinner. Great having a Camper you can get pissed and just sleep it off. Must remember to pack the Alka Seltzer.

In the main we will be fish and dog sitting but could pop down to Southend for breakfast on Sunday, will depend on the weather, no point in taking any notice of the forecast.....they don't have a clue.

Just off to Croyde Bay Devon, right on the beech but expensive. On that site as we have the grandchildren so worth every penny for the time with them.

My wife wants to go there.

She tries to induce me by saying there are 2 nice pubs within walking distance.

Please check out the truth of that and report back(y)

Have a great time.

Well of to see Hemsby. We are using this run to try out some new bits in the van.

Fingers crossed we'll be taking this to Santa Pod and trying to get down the 1/4 in less than 17 seconds.
