What are you up to this weekend?

Our son's ex partner died suddenly a few days ago, leaving 3 boys under 10 without a mum, we picked them up from Suffolk on Friday and tonight I am pitched up in my daughters front room with 5 boys under 10
( cousins for comfort ) all flopped out on air beds, just got them all off to sleep.

Canvey Island tomorrow, swimming on Tuesday and taking them fishing on Wednesday, but it will take more than a few days of breaking the rules to ease their heartache.

Their dad is picking them up Wed
evening.

Ain't life a bitch sometimes.

Vic.

Update on our weekend, managed a best of 16.1 seconds, so better than last year. Was having huge bogging issues setting off. Checked timing which seems ok. Next need to look at the carb. Still, not bad for a 50 year old boat that's nearly two tonne! Plus it's harder with a manual gearbox, not like the others with the girly auto's!

BanHam is in having the batteries checked out by dealer as they seem to be failing under load. Using opportunity to have some of the niggles sorted before the big off the following weekend.

Hi, yeah will do. Next time we take that will probably be the Mopar Nats next year (this gone weekend). We will probably be there for the VW show in spring, Big Bang, but don't take the car to that.
