Another weekend at home for us

So far this year the weekend weather has been crap, or my daughter has been doing something and we couldn't go away.

Wild camping for 4 days on the West Coast around Oban, Lochgilphead and Campbeltown.

Heading back to our France base on Thursday until mid-September.

Friday we will sitting on our terrace in France, glass in hand, hoping that Wales can do better than England in the Euro 2016.

Who knows, after a few glasses we may not mind. On the other hand, if they win, after a few more glasses we won't care either!

Simply Red concert on Friday night before leaving for France mid-day Saturday. First night will be at Montreuil sur mer and then onto Parc Verger for a week. We will be in France for all of July including a week on a ridiculously expensive site at Port Grimaud. I can't wait.

Just arrived at CCC THS for the Henley Regatta.
Lovely site right by the river and the action ... loads of space if anyone is interested.

Leaving today and staying for a week to get the arrivals and departures.
We are on the CC rally field at Collage Farm if any other Funsters want to come for a natter and a brew.

Garden Party at Wimbledon Saturday night then stopping over in Teddington. We will get the train there from Teddington with a couple of pub stops on the way then get a cab back, cab booked already for a 1am pick up from Wimbledon. That is it, sorted.

I'm off to South Wales this weekend. Want to visit Caerphilly and Chepstow castles amongst other places. First over-nighting in my van - want to get hang of things before taking "Kim" (in memory of Kimberley) abroad in September.

We are off to Henley on Thames with @cliffandger our partners in crime. Friday night homemade curry then some gentle cycling along the river with plenty of pub stops along the way, so that's Saturday sorted. Can't wait.

It should be a bit quieter at H on T this weekend although I think there is a large music festival on .... The place was heaving & hectic last week with the regatta being on. We stayed at the C&CC ths which is very close for the town and is still running.

We'll be doing much the same as we did last weekend - sitting in a field surrounded by classic cars.

We've realised that, if we take Barrie's other love (his 1968 Morris 1000), we get to camp for free at steam fairs and classic car weekends.
