Just ordered on of these.
The stop light came on on my van and the temperature light. Just before a local garage. So I coasted in and stopped. Turned out all my coolant had leaked out.
Long story, and now I carry a 5 Litre can of coolant and check before setting off each time. One trip no loss of coolant the next I loose a litre.
So buying this, so I can pressurise the system and see where it is leaking from.

It is less than it would cost me to take it to a mechanic to do.That’s a lot of money for something you may only use once , hopefully
Same here and don't like the ball joint fork as they often damage the gaiter and the clamp type are awkward to use...a good crack with the hammer usually works thoI have most of those under my work bench. They might be a bit dusty as they haven't moved in about 45 years!
Did the first one with lump hammer and pry bar. took ages.Same here and don't like the ball joint fork as they often damage the gaiter and the clamp type are awkward to use...a good crack with the hammer usually works tho![]()
Well there is some good news. I got paid today and went to order all the bits in my Amazon shopping cart and the pressure tester was missing. "No longer Available"That’s a lot of money for something you may only use once , hopefully
Would this do what you need, eg check the system.Well there is some good news. I got paid today and went to order all the bits in my Amazon shopping cart and the pressure tester was missing. "No longer Available"
Did a search for alternatives and found exactly the same on for £50
Saved a few quid there![]()

I prefer the proper ones with the range of filler caps. I don't like the look of the "bung" that seems a bit of a bodge to me?Would this do what you need, eg check the system.

It looks like the kit linked to is more for checking just the radiator, which would involve draining system.
Recently had to do ball joint on car, undoing locking nut on track rod impossible untilDid the first one with lump hammer and pry bar. took ages.
I am not bothered about the gator on the one I am removing though![]()

I had a struggle with the bolts as well but figured out a way. Even made a custom tool. An alan key cut down so it would fit to the top bolt.Recently had to do ball joint on car, undoing locking nut on track rod impossible until
