THIS week I bought

Just ordered on of these.

The stop light came on on my van and the temperature light. Just before a local garage. So I coasted in and stopped. Turned out all my coolant had leaked out.
Long story, and now I carry a 5 Litre can of coolant and check before setting off each time. One trip no loss of coolant the next I loose a litre.

So buying this, so I can pressurise the system and see where it is leaking from.

That's a lot of kit for -£7, I wonder how robust it is? Keep us informed please. 👍

I think you've read the add wrong the -£7 is for the fluid at the top! :giggle:

It is less than it would cost me to take it to a mechanic to do.

That is how I am evaluating the cost of things now. Work out how much the mechanic would cost me.
Calculate my hourly rate and the cost of the tool. If it is lower for me to do myself, buy the tool and do it.

I also recently bought these.

and

They have already saved me £100's

I have most of those under my work bench. They might be a bit dusty as they haven't moved in about 45 years!
Same here and don't like the ball joint fork as they often damage the gaiter and the clamp type are awkward to use...a good crack with the hammer usually works tho 😀

Did the first one with lump hammer and pry bar. took ages.

I am not bothered about the gator on the one I am removing though (y) :p

Milenco Mirror guards, black.

Yes I know having read various threads that Mirrorguards are very good but my previous Milenco were good, they were white and got badly stained/discoloured....... but have well protected the mirrors over last 5 years.

Mirrorguards were looking to cost £125-£140. I figured cost of 2 pairs of Milenco over say 10 years is a reasonable comparison.

Bought them via CMC CLUB shop with 10% discount =£67. 49.

Well there is some good news. I got paid today and went to order all the bits in my Amazon shopping cart and the pressure tester was missing. "No longer Available"
Did a search for alternatives and found exactly the same on for £50 :D

Saved a few quid there :) (y)
Would this do what you need, eg check the system.

It looks like the kit linked to is more for checking just the radiator, which would involve draining system.
