THIS week I bought

Took a punt on a carver water heater on eBay ,gas and mains ,sold as complete,(vent cover,manual, polystyrene jacket etc) full working order but no tank it started leaking.£30 buy it now,arrived today spotless heat exchanger,appears new hose fittings,burner box corrosion free,all tested working fine ...and I have 2 spare tanks long and short...well pleased got another spare or £150 ISH profit

After reading a recent post about the Spanish V16 warning beacon which has been mandatory since 2023 for motorhomes (which I was blissfully unaware of as a Spanish resident) I bought one yesterday. Prior to this I've been buying gadgets and modifying the moho with reckless abandon. Over the last few months I've:

• upgraded the leisure battery to a 300ah lithium battery and victron 30a B2B (wish I'd seen the 50a version), 30a ehu charger and 100/30 mppt controller along with two additional solar panels
• 1500w inverter
• 230v sockets to work on inverter when not on EHU (not fitted by me, wouldn't have a clue)
• 1000w air fryer
• 800w mini-oven
• 1500w portable electric hob
• usb-rechargeable 4g security camera
• Ablemail trickle charger (just ordered a Bluetooth attachment to manually change settings via an app)

This motorhome lark is expensive, especially when you're a gadget junkie...

We now have Fresh & Waste underslung tanks, so got this lot to go with them.

The hose and filler cap are just for filling at home, works a treat.

The funnel is from PaulandChrissy . I cut 10mm from the length, as the filler pipe connected to the inlet is at a very acute angle because of the location. Very neat and a good quality finish, no leaks when filling from a container, so will keep this in the Towbox.

Ps the 1500W hob isn't for use with the 1500w inverter, strictly for EHU!

Ours comes on the road with us and is used to refill whenever we get the chance as we’re rarely static for long - the Adria luckily comes with a separate 12v pump for the adjacent socket if needed to use a container. Modified the filler cap though to take a 90 degree swivel QD connection to avoid strain on the fittings.

Bit the bullet and replaced my slippers and shoes, both having started to disintegrate. The shoes had lasted me 11 years so this pair should see me out. It was a BOGOF at ShoeZone so two pairs, black and brown, plus slippers for less than £40 -result.

Ordered an anemometer to in the never ending list that building control comes up with carryout a fan test ( new one on me have to show manufacturers specs ( LTRs/ min) then show actual.Bit pointless as it's self assessment...so could just fake it .Also got to do water calc's...LTRs min from all taps and use by WCs enter into an online calculator and it gives use per person per day ...by knowing how much is used to flush a toilet and how fast water can come out of a tap Is bigger brother watching to see how fast or for how long I run a tap,have a shower or how frequently I go to the loo

Well just arrived care of AliExpress..A beacon for Spain(non geo)..Comes in a box with Spanish labeling and flag,LUZ XE EMERGENCIA. SENAL V16 ?,replaceable rechargeable 18650 1200mah battery and very short charge cable..usb.looks and feels fine very good magnets works as expected for the vast sum of £3.20 ?Also a 4 m Rolland 8 ends stainless steel jubilee type clips ready for cam belt change £5.And an obd plug with +. & - crock clips..to atatch to the portable 50w solar panel for maintaining the van or car battery when needed..£2.36.and last on Brucies conveyor a set of 41 keys to release vehicle plugs/sockets,not the best quality but fine for occasional use about £1.60

Lots on Ali express (look for Spanish Flag if U want exactly the same one) but they all look like the same Beware read description two models available Cheaper one is 3 X AAA batteries mine is rechargeable (they also have a white light out of the top that can be on without the orange beacon

Old, low milage, Auto, Fantastic condition,,,,,,,, Pig ugly..... ....BUT at least she will be able to take me out in my mobility scooter.. in it... Room for Daisy as well...
To get me out of this bloody prison and get around for a while....
