A vets bill yesterday ... £140.01  ... our Lily hadn't been well on Monday and wasn't interested in food which was extremely unusual as she loves her grub - every time she had a drink of water it came back up again shortly afterwards. She was also very quiet and overnight was NOT a happy bunny at all, fortunately we already had a vet's appointment for Tuesday morning as she was due to have her rabies vac so we went and her temperature was normal so next was a blood test to check her liver etc function due to the issue we'd had a few years earlier with a very, very bad reaction to tick bites when we nearly lost her. We waited for 20 mins whilst they did the blood tests which were normal ( relief as we always wondered about this since the tick incident) so it was a case of anti-vomiting jab and antibiotic plus some tummy medicine. She slept like a log for the rest of yesterday, thankfully this morning she was much brighter - I got wags and licks so obviously feeling a bit better and she had a bit of cooked chicken breast too without a problem.

Obviously we didn't have the rabies vac done so will go back in a couple of weeks for that to be sorted to give her time to recover ... flaming dogs ... they don't half worry you!!! o_O

Oh, forgot to mention at the market last week I bought some sprouts for 10p, past their Christmas sell by date but still yummy nonetheless ...

Oh, forgot to say ... they're white chocolate! :D2

Pastéis de nata from Sainsbury's in King's Lynn (the big one at Hardwick). It's the first time I've seen this Portuguese delicacy in Sainsbury's. Maybe it is just this branch because of the sizeable Portuguese community in Norfolk (centred around Thetford)? They were on sale singly in the café and in packs of four in the bakery section. Sorry, no photo 'cause I've already eaten them :)

They were pretty authentic too, right pastry, right amount of caramelisation on the top (posh word for burnt). Mmm.

Only three years. Jeez... Now I am looking at my four-year-old Michelins very suspiciously.

A water pump, some 8mm tubing and a 12v cigarette plug. No more pouring into a flipping funnel :LOL:
Also, bargain cycle helmet from Go Outdoors, reduced to £10 and some new grips for my bike. Amsterdam here we come.

They are often available in our Sainsburys too. Sell out pretty quickly though.

What's that then? o_O Either a ship or an Inuit seal skin boat float?

Good old Google

It's the latter, or at least a modern day equivalent, Reed Avataq, used as a training aid for learning to roll a kayak (y)
