THIS week I bought

I wouldn't - it'll be gone as fast as I can source a replacement :D.
In which case do I win seeing as I mentioned if first? :D

I'd be tempted to get a household drop-leaf table and use the top off it - best of both worlds then.(y)

Not just any Merc - it's a proper automatic Merc. It has a double bed at both ends - one for me and one for my good lady :D.
A lovely van ,congratulations!

Great Motorhome, I hope you got a good deal.

I looked at a Goolge search. Sprinter based????? such a big rig. If it is, it shows what a good base vehicle the Sprinter is. Mine is at the other end of the spectrum (<6M) & 7 speed auto, drives great.

Hope you put many miles under the wheels.

TWIB a second leisure battery, a standard socket plug in lead, a 12 v tv/dvd, some groceries from Lidl and a partridge in a pear tree.

That's the FIRST Christmas reference this year ... well done! :D

Have just returned from three months away, so this week I have bought:-
Humax sat box (for home and in the van)
Two sheepskins from John Lewis (to soften the van seats!)
An Amazon fire stick ( going to cancel Sky, so will use this on the bedroom tv at home)
An Anker multi usb charger (I seem to have wires everywhere at the moment!)
The 8 week blood sugar diet recipe book (I need to lose some weight!)
It’s been an expensive week overall - perhaps we should just go away again??

@WhiteCheyenneMan I saw these in Aldi the other day. Have you tried it out yet?

I thought about getting one, but my van height is 2.85M and I wasn't sure it would rest properly against the top edge when it was leaned against the van.

Looked like good value

This is the one that I bought Amazon product ASIN B014MPCEF2 My van is 2.72m high to the top of the aerial, so the ladder fits well and has a wide and solid base. It was important to me that it complied with EN 131. I just have to make a 'cushion' to fit to the top to protect the van.

Thanks for the reply. I will check the actual meauremetn to the top edge.

I use a piece of foam pipe insulation, works a treat and doesn't slip..
Cheers, Dave(y)

We got ours off ebay cheaper. Superb for using when cleaning MH

A clothes airer from Lidl, which fits beautifully in the shower tray, but expands if I want to put it outside. And folded it fits in a cupboard. Very pleased, for £15.00
I ve sent the mrs down there for one of these

I brought a brand new set of lock barrels for our B680, fed up walking round with a key set like a jailer, as soon as the weather becomes a little friendlier they’ll get changed

A good idea. The existing table top isn't fixed - it's mounted off-centre and can be slid fore & aft and side to side. It's still far too big though. An asymmetric drop leaf could work well if the larger section was the one that folded down.

,worth a look to see if yours are detachable!

I’ve just bought another years ADAC for €114.50 ( me and my wife), so £100 at my Revolut rate:)
Whilst on the phone I asked about UK after Brexit and the lady said nothing would change UK will still be covered.

A new broadband modem/router, as our PlusNet Hub One wasn't coping with the demands placed on it, hanging and needing frequent reboots. (about 30 devices, 100gb per week going through it)
The new one's a huge improvement, everything's running smoother and faster, most rooms have gained 20mbps (from 50 to 70 meg).
It's certainly a worthwhile upgrade for the busy home.

ASUS make excellent routers - good choice

I know what your saying and I was expecting this but I know one of the ferries cost nearly £2000 and I guess the canary’s are a place not many people go in their motorhomes so there is not a lot of advice on touring there so for me as a one off it’s I think worth the money I know there are people out there that could probably do it for a lot less but I am not one of them ,horses for courses . I would also like to go to Morocco but would not go there on my own so would pay for someone’s experience again. (y)
@Howard H We met 5 motorhomers going to the Canaries when we were down in Spain and Portugal just before Christmas...we were quite surprised never thought of taking MH there...I think flying would be a better bet for us as my OH isn't a good sailor and I think the sea trip takes quite a while. One of the MHrs who was going says there are no campsites or hook ups it was all wild camping....and no many motorhomes that was the main reason they were going! All the MH were very large RV types. You will have a wonderful time I'm sure and the weather will be amazing....have fun:D

(Last week actually)
4 new tyres for the car, and an MOT to make him feel better ( it’s the equivalent of a man clinic check up! ) and a tow bar for him!!

Thanks @Pia , I am not a great sailor either and had not thought that through before booking but will take a chance . One of the benefits of of going on a tour is that the tour leaders seem to know where the campsites are out of the 70 odd days 42 are on hookup so not to bad . Thanks for the good wishes , (y)
