Having great time in Zahora with all the funsters:thumb:it gets warmer here when it rains 17c, next week we'll be having the sun again, we have the wind flowing thru the pine trees and we can hear the roar of the Atlantic Ocean.
Would like to wish every one a very merry, safe and warm Christmas and a Happy New year:thumb:

Bright sunshine here. Little snow.

Difficult to move outside, place is littered with dead brass monkeys. Oh boy is it cold.

On the basis that our "small room" is unheated I'm drinking vast quantities of of alcohol so that when I go for a pee I don't get an unwanted stiffness.

It's peeing down now! Forecast good for Thursday! :Smile:We have our own micro climate here and it can be quite different to just a few miles up the road - could be better or could be worse!

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow! Safe journey!

Err if you are taking the dog there is not time to get him passported, treated etc, process takes weeks if not months I do hope you don't intend smuggling him.:Eeek:

pets passport

Hi Roger,i know what you mean about the length of time needed for getting all the paperwork done as we are driving back to the UK in June as two of our children are getting married (not to each other:Laughing:) 25 June and 2nd July. The day we picked the little one up we went straight to the vets to start the process for his passport but the law changed this year and it has added a month to the time needed, this means we cannot get it in time so are going to have to leave him behind:cry:. Thanks for your concerns:thumb:
All The Very Best Trev,Sue and the dogs.

At last we are all ready but have decided to leave our set off date until after Xmas.

Crossing on the 1st January if the weather will let us.

Very cold in Scotland but not much snow, and as far as I can see the roads down to Folkestone are clear so fingers crossed.

What's your ETA in Zahora?

Crossing on the 1st January if the weather will let us..

And I had an old customer on today, would I like to do a job in Elgin, in Feb. I've only just recovered from working on Deeside in Feb 2008.

Life couldn't have been more different to The Plan if I'd tried.

Just to wish Marie Rex and everyone staying at Zahora a Good Happy & Enjoyable Christmas and a great New Year. Best Wishes Carol & Ed.

Happy Christmas everyone home and away! Just to add that the micro-climate on plot 17 at Zahora is extremely windy and should other campers spot a grey and blue balloon with a dog cage dangling from it, soaring up into the sky, it means that :Laughing:I've lost the battle to keep my awning on the ground! Joy

Ah! That's what we saw flying around Conil today - thought it was a strange kite surfer! :Rofl1::Rofl1:

It's windy on pitch 174 too! Should be calmng down tomorrow! At least the rain and thunder have gone for now!:thumb:

Happy Christmas to you both!

Happy Christmas to you two too! Tim is booking the Christmas dinner though with the language problem there's no telling what we'll end up with! Here's hoping the wind is quieter tonight!

What do you think they put in Fray Bentos pies?

They don't torture the meat as a public spectacle.

I'm not a veggie or animal rights person but sticking spikes in a bull just to make it angry and bleed to weaken it does not seem the act of a civilised society, any more than the Inquisition and Franco's notorious gaols were.

Oh dear, another failed attempt at humour on my part. You are, of course, absolutely right.
Tormenting animals for fun is unforgivable.

Oh dear, another failed attempt at humour on my part.

It was hard to call, you may have been accusing me of being a raving veggie and that wouldn't do.

I was indifferent to bull fighting until on holiday on Spain once and I watched one on TV. Until then I just thought daft brave man kills bull with sword. But it wasn't, I just could not believe how they bled it to death to weaken it so daft brave man with sword could finish it off. Great fountains of blood squirting everywhere.

I suppose they come on a bit since they did the same to humans.

Wishing all the Funsters in Spain (and Portugal) a wonderful Christmas.

If anyone has heard how the lovely Nannyjan is doing on her cruise it would be lovely to hear .....

Love to all Joy xxxxxxxxx

Whatever you do, don't do as I did in a tapas bar in Segovia. Everyone was watching a bull fight on the TV when the bull gored the matador. I instinctively punched the air with a clenched fist whilst simultaneously shouting "yeeeessss". We were lucky to get out in one piece.

Got to  but shouldn't.

I wonder if I am any better. Glued to the TV for bike racing and let's face it, the closer they are to death the more exciting it is.

It's got to be a bit better, the intention is NOT to kill, but really there is an argument that says it should be banned because they do get seriously hurt as a matter of course but I believe none of them do it for just the money, so WE are not paying them to die. It's a close thing.

:Rofl1: Thetwo of Us, YOU get my vote of the day for being my heroes...

Merry Christmas Keith and Jean

Hi Keith and Jean, we expected you to be in Spain by now!! If we ever get our motorhome back - they have had it since the 26th October!!!!! we will be joining you in Spain!

It has been with the dealers so long we have to look at the photographs to remember what it looks like! They have had it longer than we have owned it. Where is the sense in that!

We really look forward to seeing you soon.

Ginny and Mike
