The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Aye its getting some bugger to do it on a van this size now.

If you can get down to Cornwall, there's a good man with space called Gary? who is used to getting into small spaces I hear?

It seems someone's gone and left him and he needs something to keep him occupied! 😄

If it was me, if you find someone, I would bleed the clutch also as it's going to be BADLY needing the same treatment.
(Probably NEVER been changed?) 🤔
I do believe the clutch reservoir is a sealed system Owen, and has to be changed as a complete unit.
I only know as I wanted ours bled through to new fluid, but no can do apparently. :whatthe:

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Devon Trucks on Greendale Ind Estate on Sidmouth Road out of Exeter. Look after NHS locally - good independent garage. Does my tag axle - easily cope with your van. If interested I can give name and phone number.

I've now phoned a dozen different garages , I get oh it's too big , oh it's too small , can't look at it till next Thursday blah blah feckin blah. Honestly you can't get a mechanic these days it's all pampered feckin fitters that want ramps in heated workshops .

I think I'll wait till I'm in Spain I'd have less bleeding hassle

Now you know the problem, you can normally deal with it unless, of course, you need to make an emergency stop and your travelling over 40mph.

Any truck shop or company with workshop, should be able to do it OR give you a pointer to someone else?

When I was your age, I just used to find a quiet layby with a high kerb and with a self bleeder, do it myself.
That another problem with these posh vans, no bottom clearence! 😄

These MAY! Be able to help they are about 3 miles off j34 of m4, on dual carriageway.

They do large motorhome and coaches, could be worth a call.

My garage used an automatic brake bleeder thing, they just connected up a machine and it done it all… didn’t take long and I would have thought not expensive to do.. find someone that does that as I think it could be done outside a workshop….🤔

It's all very well folk saying just find someone to do it lol.

I've now phoned well over 15 garages , marsha has phoned another 7 or 8 . You've never heard so much shite in your life . And that's if you can speak to someone many now direct you to book online . It's a joke. I'm waiting on a coach company in brecon phoning me back once they've thought up an excuse lol.

Can't do it myself , got plenty ground clearance and accessing front wheels is no problem , rear wheels not so easy to get to.

I don't have a planned route after brecon so trying to book somewhere in advance isn't the easiest.

And this is all meant to be progress. World's going to shit lol

Gave them a phone but no answer at the minute and voicemail box is full

Maybe having lunch so I'll try again later.

Loosing the will to live now. Its not even a hard job .

Ats, kwikfit, Halford etc all do brake fluid changes but it's finding one that can do big vehicles
Come on Tam, I would rather trust a Russian tank mechanic than let Kwikfit or Halfords touch anything mechanical on my van. 🙀

Why don't you find somewhere to park up and do it yourself, ? If you are parking at Jackie's I'm sure she could press your peddle.
Failing that, bring it here.

I'm not going to Jackie's not easy to get to hers with this van. I'm going up to brecon to visit mackeellan. Its not a job I'm confident doing myself at the minute

It's a case of beggars can't be choosers isn't it. The brakes are fine on motorway etc .. but anywhere I have to descend a steep hill the brakes are shit which means I've nervous as feck driving it. I left Malmesbury and I'm now in South Wales at Caerleon in the hope I could find somewhere around Newport or Cardiff. Park ups aren't the easiest to find either unfortunately.

You would not believe the nonsense I'm getting from garages . The smaller ones say they can't get it on a ramp the bigger commercial places say they only do over 7.5t or lorries and they basically don't want to do the job . Probably because there isn't enough money in it for them , that's the way it's gone now. The few that have said they could do it are quoting a week or two away which is no good . I just don't have the confidence to attempt doing it myself in a carpark somewhere in case like always there's any complications or issues then I'm stuck completely.

It's a pain in the arse .

Not sure what to try next

Mobile mechanic , doesn’t need to be done inside👍
Ha ha, I tried 4 of them when my van was stuck, only managed to speak to one, he said a VW T4 based van was too big, the others didn't answer and didn't reply to voicemail.
