The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Jackie is off to Leicester for a long weekend with the girls. I'll see plenty of her later anyroad so I only really came to Wales to visit mackeellan. Then I've the scooter rack to deliver to near Stafford and I'll go to cannock chase forest with the dugs. Then who knows where next .

But I'll get up to brecon after the brakes are sorted . Be safer .

Leicester! Long weekend? God it will a long one

Few pics from today's lunch stop , roman amphitheatre complete with classroom centurions

All I have is some clowns setting off fireworks and 3 petrified dogs.

Jade is trembling with fear , ela not much better.

I'd like to show assholes who set these things off just how much they scare animals.

Poor jade's heart is beating like a drum

Deffo a few teething problems for you in the new van matey stay calm you've come this far and done so much. I wouldn't try bleeding brakes on your own I would take to garage or to ya mates just in case you have bother with nipples and need new calipers etc. good luck 🤞

Please drive off for awhile

Meg used to be terrified of fireworks, but now she's geriatric and a bit deaf they don't bother her so much. Spice has never been much bothered but is pretty laid back about everything. My now deceased German Shepherd Zac used to like to go outside to watch them, but went to his first firework display at a couple of months old inside my coat as he wasn't allowed on the ground as he wasn't fully vaccinated.

Thankfully they've stopped now , blu isn't phased with them , milo not much but ela and jade get really scared, ela has always been timid but poor jade is the worst

Brian and Tim are proper old school, do cars, vans, lorries , motorhomes , just outside Hay on Wye , you could then drive to Cannock via Hereford towards M50 near Ross on Wye

Yeah I expect there will be a few more things crop up with it over the next few months now it's in use. Hopefully nowt to serious. I've still a few inside jobs to sort out on it too that I can do while on the road. I'm annoyed I never thought to change the fluid when we serviced it .

Could have had Just smiffy foot on the pedal 😉

Maybe too far north for you Tam Robertson's Garage, Wrexham - they have worked on our Flair (MOT, servicing etc.)👍
I'm just going to hang around down here and have that garage in Taff's well do it. I doubt I'd get anyone to do it quicker now anyway being the weekend

Yes I'd seen a few that had fitted fans inside , there was one for sale on here the other day. I'll see if uncle lenny can give me pointers and I'll get a fan delivered to his place as I'm popping in to see him 2nd November before I head over the water. The rest of the fridge seems to get cool no problem but the bottom part not so much. Never had any bother with older ones
Is it the 8505 ?

Had a little walk around Tredegar Park this morning and a look at the big hoose. It's no as nice as my big hoose.

And then I went in search of some lpg as one of my bottles ran out yesterday, so that was 3 weeks I got from 1 full bottle with fridge on gas constantly and cooking , no heating use.

So it took 20.39 litres to fill at 99p a litre.

Then we drove up to Trethomas and I've a nice wee parking spot by a river walk , there was a 4 year old benimar motorhome here when I arrived but I'd no sooner turned off engine and went in back and he started up and drove off. I got the impression he wasn't happy I'd parked next to him ....but hey ho I then parked in his space at the edge of the carpark and its a nice wee spot . Lots of dog walkers so the pups are all watching the comings and goings out the windows. Will have another walk after lunch. Rain overnight but its dry and sunny now. Might stay here 2 nights if its quiet overnight. Then go see Caerphilly Castle on Monday as it looks stunning.

Ref the fridge not getting as cold at the bottom, what happened to cold air sinking? Just confused.
The cooling fins are at the top but as the cool air drops down it's partly blocked by the contents and because they are using some of the cooling air what reaches the bottom isn't as strong or cold. That's why you're supposed to store veg, salad etc at the bottom and not meat etc which will be kept cooler higher up.

Yeah unfortunately the milk is stored in the door and it's the only thing I'm having trouble with it's just never that cold and i only have milk in cereal nowt else. But its going off way before the date.

If uncle Lenny HB gives me a link to the fan he fitted I'll order one and try that.

The 8 series was crap, the 10 series works as well as a normal compressor fridge. If I had kept my Frankia that was the first thing I would have changed.
