You are not wrong Tam.I keep discovering or getting told new things with this van ... its such a well built big bus
smiffy has already been in ours Carol, and gave it his approval just days before meeting up with Tam.I think you lot with the same model or near enough should meet up soon, so you can show Tam everything he doesn’t know.
And ours well you know what I mean this thread is taking me right back and I think I am getting a bit nostalgicYou are not wrong Tam.

Gordon Bennett, this thread isn't half moving along swiftly.
Cheers,
Jock.
Maybe Tam might consider doing you a swap? And ours well you know what I mean this thread is taking me right back and I think I am getting a bit nostalgic
Yeah jock it's the same as that bottom photo only bigger . Not an inverter just a charger bloody awkward to get in to see the front panel thoughSorry Tam, but it has all the looks and fixings of an inverter, and that clear relay underneath is the auto switchover relay, which auto detects when you are on mains, or the inverter.
Have you not got a 16A charger which looks like this, with an on/off switch, and a Gel/Lead Acid changeover switch?

Or one of these 18A jobbies..........

In that case, they raise and swivel.
I'm no gambler, but I'll bet they do.
As Martin's reply.
Definitely not a desk layout Stephen, ie, bar lounge layout, very much the same as our old Hymer E690.
Again Tam, exactly as Martin suggests.
Cheers,
Jock.
My Hymer B584 had the same.Plenty of lovely roof space for some mega solar panels
Have you thought about putting them on tilting frames [ I think Martin jumar has at least one that tilts ]
I'm sure I've seen a similar desk layout in another A Class
If you zoom in Jock it says "electronic battery charger" but I did spot that box that looked like it would/might be a changeover relay so there could yet be a surprise hiding somewhere.Sorry Tam, but it has all the looks and fixings of an inverter, and that clear relay underneath is the auto switchover relay, which auto detects when you are on mains, or the inverter.

nah he doesn't like white cupboards we have already established thatMaybe Tam might consider doing you a swap?
That is huge compared to ours, hence me mistaking it for an inverter.Yeah jock it's the same as that bottom photo only bigger . Not an inverter just a charger bloody awkward to get in to see the front panel though
I couldn't read anything when I tried to zoom in to Tam's photo Martin, as it was so dark.If you zoom in Jock it says "electronic battery charger" but I did spot that box that looked like it would/might be a changeover relay so there could yet be a surprise hiding somewhere.
EDIT
Bugger too slow again
Yes.Tam have you seen Basildogs offer on Gasits?
I should have said "zoom in, squint, and then make a bit up"That is huge compared to ours, hence me mistaking it for an inverter.

I was worried about the wind blowing the mini heki open when it’s on the first position as nothing keeps it secure, so I made a lock for itYeah it's had a remis skylight originally I think same as the very front one and if like my hymer the wind has caught it and blew the top off ...they've had something taped over the hole till they fitted that heki .. and then never cleaned the tape off . Hopefully panel wipe will remove that residue .
That's sealed the deal. This van is a keeperI could give you pair a big kiss
I've just been out to check and yes the front seats lift up and swivel all from that one lever and are level with the rear ...that's bloody amazing . I had looked and thought they'd never be at the same level and that's why they didn't turn but they do .. I'm so chuffed I could break dance as it really makes it a nice lounge now. The dogs will be so pleased as the girls lie on the front seats but I always feel they're out the way then so now they're able to socialise.
Brilliant absolutely brilliant View attachment 943272View attachment 943273
You do.
Why? The air con unit doesn't let any light in at the moment so if you removed it & fitted an ali plate over then there would be far more room for solar.Unless of course you want more light?I suspect that big aircon unit doesn't work as I can't get any life out it but will have to buy a skylight to replace it with .
Dunno I just think the inside would look nicer with a skylight than a hole in the ceilingYou do.

Absolutely!!!I know it's personal taste but I love the warm wood in this van , I'm not keen on the modern vans with white cabinets etc ,for me they look too clinical , I've always loved wood and I think it's warm and homely looking.
Yes all working at the minute.Dark outside now...
...do you have light(s)?
TamI also had another look on the roof , it's filthy and there's moss growing round everything. That satellite dish will be removed tomorrow afternoon while Just smiffy is watching the grand prix , and I'll start cleaning the roof over the next few days if it's dry weather. The aircon unit also needs checked out as at the moment I can't get it to turn on the panel is completely blank so not sure if it still works . If it doesn't it will be removed and a heki skylight installed in its place. View attachment 942735View attachment 942736View attachment 942737View attachment 942738
