The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

I’ll be sad when this thread comes to an end I’ve been thinking about it continually 🤔.
You know these more mature motor "homes" need a fair bit of tlc, it will be like painting the fourth road bridge......never ending lol

But most repairs won't need a computer to diagnose......
.......and can be fixed by the owner or a proper mechanic.....

I think the engine fault might though sadly . But if I have most other jobs completed before then it won't be so bad

I think you missed the point, the older vans may need tlc to keep them to a standard the owner wants and can do in the respect of Tam by himself.
Regardless of the need for a computer it is the love and attention that is given to keep them right.
I learnt a long long time ago the saying " If you want a job doing right, do it yourself" most modern mechanics are just fitters with a title of technition.

I'm dreading switching this fridge on in case it don't work ...

Going to walk the dogs then put front end on ramps as its not perfectly level at the minute before I switch it on.

Yeah but uncle Lenny HB weren't doing nowt on it I was doing it myself lol.

I had lennys wheels of his new van greasing his hubs lol.

It’s barely 24 hrs since you put it in. Especially as you have hoisted it up and down and driven it around Cornwall. Give it the full 24 hrs at least. We have to think of Gary. O top of that there’s some other jobs you can get on with to take your mind off it

Flipping rain in now glad you got that roof done yesterday

Right the van is now level and the fridge is on . I'll give it an hour before checking. Rainy day today so inside jobs

fingers crossed for you..

It's Gary that keeps saying switch it on switch it on lol.

He'd barely opened his eyes (at 9am) this morning before he was texting me saying have you switched it on yet lol.

I was up at 6am, fitting anti slip matting on the bits of my dashboard lol.

Going out now to remove the old sat nav and check the cables for reverse camera. Waiting on a load of bits in the post to do other lights ,TV etc in the van..not important bits but with weather I can't do any outside jobs at present.

If fridge is OK I can move on to ordering battery, solar etc .

I'm up to my eyes in wiring just now.. you should see the wiring in here for this old sat nav reverse camera bollocks ... and the 2 old trackers that were fitted .

I could stretch the wires from here to uncle lennys

Give him time, he's wrestling with a massive 'snake' at the moment and Garry's probably keeping well away in case there are any 🕷️. 😄
