Yes, when you said you had had a lot of advice from different people, I immediately thought of this forum.
I was always a person looking in, but the fridge made me bite the bullet so I could place on this sites classified, then wife placed on FB marketplace.
It was lovely to meet you and Gary, and a good chat.

Right well it's wired up , nice lights inside lol. But it didn't get cold after 10 minutes . I've switched it off again and will leave it till tomorrow incase it needs to settle before trying it again .

I’m so pleased that you’ve actually decided to leave it for 24 hours you are supposed to with any fridge you move because it disturbs whatever it is they put in these things. Even though we moved one from the kitchen out to the garage we still left it 24 hours, so I hope tomorrow after it’s had its 24 hours all will be well.

Such a brilliant find whoever posted the link I can’t remember as everyone else said this moves so quick you can’t keep up. I hope you too have a rest this evening. Don’t wear Gary out.

Jeez it's cold down ere tonight...reminds me of the wild Atlantic way .. its freezing, I've had to put a jumper on and get under my travel rug .. milo is all wrapped up in a blanket. Might have to fill a hot water bottle lol.

Seen a nice beach today in newquay right where Ian the fridge man lived .. got out the car to take a photo and realised I've been on that beach .....24 years ago when I came to Cornwall in my vw camper with ex wife and son .. we stayed on a campsite near there and were on the beach in the rain lol.

My son aged 2 at the time made a friend on the campsite ... I asked his name and he said jessiah.... I said "what " and he said the Same again ... I still wasn't sure so asked a third time ...same response. I never did find out if his name was indeed jessiah or if he said Joe sawyer .with an accent

I said to garry it's funny the things you remember from the past when you see or hear something familiar .

The 3-way fridge in my Hymer had never worked on 12 V since I bought it and then one evening for something to do I disconnected the 12 V element’s cables from the fridge’s PCB and connected them directly to the van’s12 V supply. Bingo, by the morning the freezer was well down in temperature. So thinking about your 240 V element not working, if the element's OK you could try connecting it directly to a 240 V supply (suitably fused) and see if that works.

Exactly…. It’s like a fur rug on that floor, and when wearing shorts that fur gets everywhere… and in the mornings the dogs come running in and their snouts are fecking everywhere….

I’ve had a nice long chat with milo and he told me in confidence that he would rather stay and live with me, mainly because he likes me more and he said he gets bullied by the bigger dogs and its much nicer on my sofa….
