The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Ah ha. I found you and you're on to page 23 without me already.
Where are you working on it and are you living in it?
Looks good. comfortable and roomy for all of you.

He's squatting at Smiffy's in Cornwall at present, he's living in it after a fashion as I don't think Smiffy's offered him a bed yet but the dogs have moved in to Smiffy's house! 😄

OK dokey well good news on the fridge after an hour it was down to 8° in the fridge and -6° in the freezer.

So that's a relief .

Meanwhile I've been stripping out more things that don't work ...

This satnav , reverse camera was factory fitted and I cannot believe the shoddy wiring ...I kid you not they had bared cables and wrapped the ones for the sat nav around them and black taped them . I know this was back in 2004 but jeez that's feckin ridiculous.

The tracker ( phantom ) could not have been in a more obvious place, under the glove box . And that's what the little switch was for inside the glove box . It took me 5 minutes to find it and remove it.

So that's taken another 5 or 6 kilos of weight out lol .

So now it's nice and tidy in there, fitted my external mic for Bluetooth hands free and now doing my USB plugs and voltage dropper to put ignition fed phone and satnav power points in

Ooooh I’m so pleased I felt sick waiting, thankyou for letting us know 👍
So did I... my stomach has been queezy since we fitted it yesterday...
I'd said to Ian who I bought it off that if it didn't work I'd be taking it back lol. But it would still be a hassle getting it stripped out the van again without damaging anything else as its not a simple easy job to remove it and refitt .

So yeah I'm so relieved it's working .

They always fit them there that's why the theifs throw them out the window 5 min after nicking the van.

I'm as pleased as everyone else about the fridge, albeit I think you could have got away with a crowd funding appeal

Twisted together wires is very unlikely to be N+B. Original wiring in mine has the function or destination printed on it albeit in german. Ive got a lot of added bits mostly to do with audio and tv, variable degrees of quality and there is miles of it. 20 years is a long time and techno moves on.

What's up with the engine?

I'm just going by the order sheet where thst navigation computer etc was ticked and fitted . I was very surprised by the wiring but also by the butchered bit of dash where they'd fitted it. Just one of those little storage shelf things that I'll get from a breakers yard but definitely shoddy fitting who ever it was.

The engine has the dreaded red flashing injector light when it comes to hills etc .. could be a number of different possibilities but I don't think it's anything too serious it will just be finding the sensor responsible most likely.

Well done fridge and so pleased it’s working. Now as you’ve cleared out things you don’t want and weather is rotten all day today and tomorrow looks bette recon my app.

Now we want Moby sold so you feel better moneywise. Get it into that other site and possibly gumtree too more sites the better chance.

Decide whether you are stripping Moby of bits you can use or not, as add will need changing.

Relief all around and no doubt by Gary too as that’s one thing less to moan/worry about 😀

You need to see some of the wiring in my 2024 Giottiline, or probably not actually - you would have a heart attack. It really is dismal.

Tam have a look at this old bus. When seen it I thought of you. I know you have a new van. 👍

It’s for sale on Facebook

I wouldn't take stuff off Moby - not worth the time or cost removing to have to make good......and it's in Wales
I agree the fuel cost for the return trip would probably remove a huge chunk of any savings and reduce the points of difference of Moby for the sale.
