The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

fridge is cold, everything else in fridge is fine but it's not very cold at the bottom.
Have you checked the door seal, cold air drops to the lowest point so the bottom of the fridge should be cold.
Doesn't make sense if the top of the fridge is colder than the bottom.
Get a digital thermometer in there and take some accurate readings

The fins are at the top .

The fins are at the top .
And the air will flow down them. This is why the fins are at the top of the fridge, it is an attempt to even the temperature gradiant. But the bottom of the fridge should still be the coldest place unless there is a fun stirring things up.

Over the past few weeks I have been in contact with a Bank, a Water Company, Social Services and others. I keep hearing them all use the term "Thank You for reaching out to us" is getting on my nerves, but reading it on Tams E Bay is worse somehow, it just made me blow a fuse!
Where has this expression come from? is it sales/marketing Parley? its used so often nowadays by so many at the moment it almost makes their conversation sound insincere!
Here's another....you would have thought hearing this expression so often, by so many, that I would have "Gotten" used to it!:swear:
LES
Mostly all imported from the States, sadly.

Well what can I say the seal is perfect no sign of damage and the door seems to be a tight fit but the top is definitely colder than the bottom.

One of three heffalump strays getting everybody's way in the various queues.
Allegedly, the ones with ear tags have been neutered & vaccinated on the State's dime. The cats get the same but are ear notched.
Saw plenty of cat food bowls about the place (and plenty of cats)

That's weird. I've found the doors are almost always the warmest bits but usually that's down to having too much stuff in the fridge, which interrupts the circulation of air.

With the fridge Tam the 8505 should work fine in UK temperatures when it gets hot they can struggle to keep the beer cold.

Did you clean the chimney before fitting it and the other thing to do is replace the paste behind the fins.

Once it's working properly we can look at fans & controllers.
I renewed the paste and cleaned the flue several times, was still crap.

Not that much in the fridge either . Mostly cheese and cherry tomatoes , 4 cans of cider.

Its not just me then that feels like this.
Thank god. I thougt there was something wrong with me .👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The small fridge in our van is nearly always stuffed and I organise it so the air flow works.
Fridges & freezers need a reasonable amount of stock in them to work well.
If you use UHT milk abroad why change when in UK, our UHT is stored in an external locker and the one we’re using is in fridge door, simple, it’s so much easier as you never get caught without milk!

Mostly the price. In Europe I buy uht carton around €0.98 for 1 or under €6 for a pack of 6.

Here it's around £1.30 a carton and only 1 litre
Fresh milk is 4 pints for £2 or 2 pints for £1.55. So it makes sense to buy a 4 pint carton. I dislike shopping so I try to only do it once a week.

If I had an oven and grill lol I'd be having croissants or toast and wouldn't bother with milk at all.

But
The feckin fridge should be cold at the bottom lol.

Aldi uht milk is less than £1 and the 'essentials' one (no cap) is about 70p

Don't know where you're buying your UHT milk but several places sell it for 89p/litre - places like Aldi, B&M and Lidl. Probably other places as well.

Barclaybasher beat me to it! Can't stand the boxes with the tear off corners so refuse to buy those - would rather pay a bit extra for the screw top.

The smoke alarm saga goes on

The fecking thing went off at 11.30 last night .. battery is sealed so can't switch it off. I thought bugger being woken with that all night so I tossed it outside. Uts been going off all night, fortunately can't hear it much in the van but go outside it is loud lol. But I can't find it 🤣🤣🤣 it's in the gorse bushes somewhere.

Dog walkers turning up and wondering what the beeping is . Didn't think I'd tossed it very far but it must be right in the middle of the feckin gorse

It'll keep the local wildlife wondering too 😂

I always keep a packet of powdered milk handy for emergencies - it reconstitutes well and you only need to make up what you need.

Much higher chance of getting genuine products on Amazon.
Used to buy on eBay but try to avoid it these days as Amazon returns are far easier, credited within minutes of posting.
That always puts me off , when you are buying something off either and right there is how to return things, if I'm buying something I want to use it not have to faff about returning it.

A hammer or bowl of water would have fixed the alarm.

Milk - always carry uht and Coffee Mate (y)
Yes well a hammer wasn't handy when I was in bed lol. I'd went to bed at 11pm , alarm woke me up and scared the shit out the mutts , I opened door and tossed it outside. Planing to introduce it to a hammer this morning . But its in the jaggy bushes lol. Feck knows where .

It's persistent that's for sure . 3 long beeps every second since 11.30 last night. I'll have to find the fecker but it'll be a pain lol

Not many shops left where you can look at things before buying.

Fresh milk £1.45 for 4 pints in most big supermarkets.
