Are you cutting the back of the cab out and blending box into cab?

If you look at 4.20 in this vid you can see the need to keep the body and frame separate.

Hmm video unavailable for me (no option to watch on YT)

And before I fall into my pit and start snoring.
You should probably follow this account on youtube.
Only on episode 3 so far so you've not missed much.

I think they should have stuck to the mini build as they seem to be making a very hard job of ending up with what they need , if even doable to a suitable standard . JMHO

Perfect example of chassis twist!! Hope that's given you more of an idea for your build HandyAndy
Once I work out where to put the springs ?
Presumably between existing original chassis rails and the channel section that runs the length of the bed on top of the existing.

The speed those guys work at its most unlikely to move under its own power using diesel. It’ll probably have been banned by completion. Mind you the engineering will be awesome and the bracket count well into three figures by then too.
Great videos to watch to avoid doing anything useful, worth subscribing if you like that sort of thing.

This shows how chassis flex is quite important depending on terrain
it gets to the relevant part at 5:40 approx

there are only a handful of chassis that don't need special measures .
