Well it was lovely and peaceful only the sound of birds and church bells

Then some asshole Spanish couple about mot 50's turned up in a Renault Megane convertible with the roof down and fecking deacon blue of all bands blasting full pelt

He's now out taking pics of said Renault megane...I'm guessing he's just bought it

I'm sitting here praying he hasn t put the handbrake on properly and it rolls off the edge.

Right these damm caterpillars....has anyone had a dog that's gone near them ?
Because they seem to be everywhere now and I'm getting paranoid

Just been for a climb up to a ruined castle and while I was up there jade was rooting around below like she does. When I climbed back down I discovered loads of the buggers on the ground everywhere.

I don't know if she was at them or not.

She's fine and acting as normal but how do I know if she's been at them

I have no experience of them Tam, but I imagine you must keep a close watch on Jade and if you see her behaving in any way distressed or out of the ordinary head straight to a vet with her. Fingers crossed it won't be necessary.

I think while you are in that vicinity you are probably going to need to keep Jade on the lead at all times

Aye I've just googled and read about them and the symtoms etc .

Don't know if I'm being paranoid or not but she is scratching her nose and eyes a bit with her paws.....buy I can't see any swelling

I think I might need a vet ...

I'm panicking now ..my Spanish isn't great

If you just find a veterinary Tam, they will recognise the symptoms Jade is showing. -do you have Google translate on your phone, if not then download it. Good luck.

Right I'm parked literally 20p yards from a vets now as there was one fairly close by
It opens at 5pm ..

But typically this little stinker is no longer scratching or doing anything bar just sitting there wondering why I'm staring at her lol

I think I'll walk along anyway when it opens just to be on the safe side

We made it down the N10 no toll!!!
Stopped at an aire( carpark by the tiny school!) in Marcenais.
Lots of driving but much better ad it was free!!!!
Having the Fevertree cola and robs having a beer!
The cola tastes like the stuff the pop man used to bring on a Wednesday many years ago!!
Lovely and sunny here after are foggy start!!

At vets now she doesn't speak English so we have a girl from accross the street interpreting.

But so far vet seems to think nothing wrong she says don't listen to internet
Says all that happens is dog vomits but I said I was worried so she has given her the injection anyway and also an anti histamine injection and a shower lol needless to say I am not popular with jade right now

€15 all in which isn't bad for peace of mind

She still insisting no read internet but the thing I read on Google sounded nasty and I'd rather not take any chances

Thank goodness she seems to have got away with it this time.

While you’re at the vets you can buy a syringe to carry with you in case she does get near them so you can inject her yourself if no vet available.

Better safe than sorry. You did the right thing. Amazing how cheap the vets abroad are compared to UK vets. Would probably have cost you in excess of £50 in the UK.

Yes I think that's the one the vet just gave her but I've left now I'm back in van waiting on kettle for a well needed coffee

I'm still shaking ....These buggers get under your skin and I got quite worked up there in the end which is why vet gave in and gave her the jag

Maybe you are going to have to head for higher altitudes while the wretched things are about.
I think we are at about 1000 ft here,so that much chillier and we don't appear to have them.
