Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

Tam

Nice to see you posting again and with an impressive array of tasks finished and only a few more to go.

I am glad you are gainfully occupied and not messing around with those floosies. ;)

Stay around - as you see from the many welcome posts above you have been missed, don't forget it.

Sorry about the deaths in your family but pleased about the Covid recoveries.

Geoff

relieved to hear that you and mum are okay, 'tis always a worry when established members go awol especially with this sodding virus stalking us all, we don't want to lose any of our funster family to it, and sorry to hear about your sis who is hopefully recovering well now from her heart probs, that must have been a bit of a shock for you all..
and how are those cheeky adorable pups of yours? i bet they're keeping your mum entertained and happy..

.

Good to see you back Tam. best wishes to your sister hope she makes a speedy and full recovery.
It is very encouraging to hear of your elderly relatives making a full recovery from this wretched virus, we need all the good news we can get on that front.
It looks like you are doing a very good job on Toby, when you have him perfect you would be welcome to take up a temporary, unpaid job as my toyboy/mechanic/welder !! >:)(y)
Look after yourself Tam, give the pups a cuddle from me. Val.

Thanks guys ....yes sister is doing ok hopefully just a wee warning shot and hopefully she will take notice she's to stay off work for a few weeks and rest up which to be honest is a relief as she's a nurse and hospitals aren't a good place to be at the minute......although she isnt happy as she feels guilty not being there .....different breed these NHS workers ...I really hope this situation makes people genuinely stand up for them more once it's all over.

Dogs are doing fine they are loving having a garden and furry friends at the park ....mum spoils them rotten and milo has claimed her as his own personal servant lol

I feel I've a never ending list of jobs I want to do on toby ....I'd also like the bathroom sink reskinned or painted as a few hairline cracks and its yellowed with age ......anyone know who does that ?

The delivery work has been mental and a good earner I'm really glad I decided to fo that and not the campsite work as that would have been a non earner at the minute.

Not sure if I'm going to get away at all this year so may aswell get my savings topped up while I can...very few outgoings so all is good on that front.

Toying with fitting one of those chinese diesel heaters too as a back up

Like I say it's a never ending list lol but planning to have toby a while so worth it in the long run.

It's no wonder that you haven't been posting lately - you've been far too busy. Great jobs on the tow-car and Toby. They must be worth a lot more now that you have worked your magic on them.

So glad that your immediate family and the pups are well. Sorry to hear of the deaths of two of your relatives. It's a very worrying time. Stay safe, Tam, we really enjoy your company. The MHF site hasn't been the same since you absconded. Good to have you back again.

We had our sink done by one of those firms that advertise renewing bathtubs. The bath was an ok job but the sink in the van excellent!

Thank God you’re back ! ....I haven’t slept a wink since February as I noticed mine was the last post since you did a Reggie Perrin....I look forward to any Scottish orientated posts you care to make ? I‘d even go as far to say what a wonderful and joyous person Mistress McTermite (aka Nicola Sturgeon) is ?

You can get a new sink Tam made of fibreglass, Derek justice is the guy, I think JockandRita had one done by him and were impressed. He supplies and you fit.
We had one done as well .....excellent service from Derek I have some photos of before and after somewhere

Yes, we certainly did have a new sink from Derek. Initially, he wanted me to send the old one (a right flimsy plastic excuse for a sink), for him to make a mould, but he then identified a part number from the green sticker underneath, as seen in the photos I provided, and already had a mould in stock. (y)
The new fibreglass sink arrived in quick time, and all I had to do was to open up the drain hole a bit with a dremel, to accommodate the fittings.

I too would recommend Derek Justice. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Do you have a link to his website or any contact details for him by any chance

Well worth it. I bought one to fit when I returned but had to fit in UK due to Jac s op. Only2kw but brilliant.
They certainly seem to get good reviews ....not sure yet where I can fit one due to the double floors but it would be a good back up option in winter

can you find a space between the floors ? then only one floor for the exhaust and inlet and room to run ducting
