Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

Regarding your micro switch wire breaking, think about fitting a non latching switch under sink somewhere so if the wires break again you can use the switch, I did this for my bathroom tap.

I've got the Shurflo pump installed, temporarily connected power to it, looking good flow rate & pressure better than the Reich submersible. The only thing I don't like is when the pump is running the shower tap vibrates, a small price to pay not having to strip down Reich taps every 6 months.

I'm thinking of just fitting a well and be done with it lol.

Lenny HB don't know if you have thought about fitting one of these I did and it stopped the pulsating of the pump

It's not that problem I'm not getting any pulsating thank goodness as it would be difficult to fit an accumulator without a lot of plumbing rework, not enough space next to the pump.

It's just vibration from the pump running being transmitted through the pipes and the shower tap is just mounted on plastic in the shower corner unit it's OK on the washroom & kitchen taps that are mounted on solid work surfaces.
I've just loosened the pump mounting a bit, a little better. Just annoying as I like things to work perfectly.

Man I don't know how I get drawn in to thinks but I do

Honestly baffles me at times some of the nutters on here.

I always knew just by the different types of vans there were people from all levels of social class etc on here.....but I cant believe with today's internet and media etc that many can still not see stuff from their ivory towers ?

Nah I've basically stopped myself going on any of the Coronavirus or political threads as I will end up in Coventry.

But it is amazing that the cmo in scotland had to resign but that walloper is let off.

Anyway let's not go there ....the police one is bad enough.

I got recommended a garage that is supposed to be good and reasonably priced to do my cambelt change and brake fluid change.

Sent them a message asking for a price stating I wanted an skf belt and tensioner fitted.

Came back to me quoting £525 ?

I asked how much the parts were ....he stated £139 for the cambelt kit
Its £66 on ebay ?
Claims it's a 4.5 hour job and recommends changing water pump also.

The water pump isnt driven my the cambelt on this van so completely unnecessary and every Google source states 3 hours for the job to change belt.

Asked if that included the brake fluid change .....eh no that's another £110

Guess who isnt getting the job lol

Been censored again lol
What for ?
We were just having a disagreement. Like people do down the pub.
I wondered why you hadnt replied to a couple of my posts.

I presume it was some posts that others took a dislike to?

That's way too expensive for an X244. Had a mobile guy change the cambelt on a friend's X244 about 4 years ago £180 inc. Gates belt & new tensioners.
Yep I was expecting about £300 tops as it's not a big job

I figured about 3 hours at £70-75 per hour plus cost of kit which varies on ebay from £65 - 90

Will find someone else

I bought the 3 pack of Milencos and it really is 5 minutes thought and 3 minutes work.
About a year old now and no issues.
I paid about 125 i think
I would buy them again.

Being an A Class it will put £50 to £100 on the bill I would still expect not much over £300.
You need to find someone who is used to working on A Class vans.
