He actually jumped in at one point but he was on the lead so I just fished him back out lolI hope you didn't let Milo in that pond with the big fish Tam, poor little chap could've been swallowed whole!
Looks like they have finished repairing the Palace, scaffolding over it last November. So went to evora yesterday (wednesday) had a look around the city in the morning , stayed on the free aire and after I had taken the pups out for a walk this morning ( thursday) I escaped to go visit the chapel of bones ( couldn't take dogs for obvious reasons) ...This is both creepy and amazing...I'll let the pics explain. We then drove up to a reservoir had lunch and the pups had a swim .......and a roll in some cow shit ...so had another swim.
Tried to upload this several times yesterday but internet shit. I'm going from here to badajoz now for a day or two so will fill up fuel and gas again when over there. Haven't done that side of Spain so was part of my reasoning for coming up this way ....kill 2 birds with one stone so to speakif your still heading North from Elvas and need a top up of fuel when you reach Portagem, Marvao you can head the 10km or so towards Spain and just across the border there's a Repsol garage just across on the left. Don't turn in from the right, the police do sit in the garage at times and catch people that turn in from Portugal, about 1/2 a km down on the right there's enough room to turn opposite a little bar.
Enjoy the area, we've just left after house sitting in the area for nearly 3 years.
The aire at Badajoz is good...... right next to a large park for the dogs.... but need to get there early as really popularI'm going from here to badajoz now for a day or two so will fill up fuel and gas again when over there. Aye I looked at that ....if it's busy I'll only use it for the services and park elsewhere, I'm not in to the packed like sardines places. There's a few spots listed around there so I'll find somewhere quieter. The aire at Badajoz is good...... right next to a large park for the dogs.... but need to get there early as really popular

Tam,letting his tyres down wont stop the noise,,,Go to bed and set your alarm for about 5.0pm..Start your van up and put your radio on loud and get the dogs barking,,BUSBY,,This is what bugs me on aires etc...A family came in earlier today in a rental motor home, they are parked right behind me they sat earlier today with the engine running about an hour so they could have the aircon on ....That was bad enough then they buggerred off out. Now they've returned from the town at 10. 35 gone inside and sitting with all Windows and rooflight closed and the aircon on ...12 vans here and every one out wondering about the noise.
So I knocked on the door and the guy is like it's only for a short while till van cools down....I said you are disturbing every other van try opening a window like the rest of us and he just waved his hand and closed door
I'm raging and really want to let his tyres down but the van at the side of me is phoning the police so I'm sitting in the van seething ....their engine and aircon still running grrrrrrr
I'm raging and really want to let his tyres down
I don't think I could stay in bed till 5 pm busbyTam,letting his tyres down wont stop the noise,,,Go to bed and set your alarm for about 5.0pm..Start your van up and put your radio on loud and get the dogs barking,,BUSBY,,
Yeah those new ducatos are noisy as feck and with aircon running the cooling fan was practically non stopIt's not like he'll hear the hissing noise over the engine and aircon!! ? ?
I think he meant 5 am.I don't think I could stay in bed till 5 pm busby
Senior moment, meant AM?I don't think I could stay in bed till 5 pm busby
No the engine got switched off 5 minutes after I gave them an earfull selfish buggers......That's the problem with hire vans no one bothers to tell folk the do's and don'ts although why anyone would think it was acceptable to run an engine and aircon for an hour at nearly 11pm is beyond me.Did the police come out last night to the Aire with your noisy neighbour keeping everyone awake ?
