Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

Have a look for the 'parasol' in Seville. Its a fluid mushroomy type structure built over a couple of squares. Largest wooden structure held together by glue!
Only a couple of euros to get in, that includes a drink/beer, and views from the top of the whole of Seville.

Nearly as good as the Plaza, but very different.

Well you know me ....I like buildings and architecture much to the amusement of @brewery dave etc lol

But this building certainly does give that sort of wow reaction ...You can actually see it in the faces of everyone walking around it, it's just very imposing and really the pics don't show just how grand it is. In a couple of pics I posted you can see the tile murals that are all the way along the front with all the different cities on them, even the chimneys and the gutter drains etc are tiled, the lampposts around the front are also decorated its just a really nice building.
The big fountain at the front wasn't on yesterday but it's impressive too I remember it from last year.
I initially thought it was a palace but it's actually office blocks for the council etc I'm actually parked right behind It and this morning all the workers are heading in .

Nice building to work in ....I'd quite like to see the inside.

Seville is a beautiful city and as I said I think it's my favourite, we are going to walk in to the cathedral etc after breakfast.

It's a place I would say has to be on your list if touring spain, Andalucia is a stunning region to be honest .....but it's also very hot this time of year.

Do I need that to enter Morocco and return to Spain though?
Yes , as Terry L said. if you do get stopped without it ..........
Where have all the motorhomes gone?
I've not seen one in days..
Too hot:hot::hot::sun::sun:
we had went out for a wee walk there but Milo really struggling with the heat had to come back to van and fill shower tray with water and stand him in it..
Take your flip flops off & stand in the pavement/road etc; you will soon appreciate what it feels like to them.
Exposed concrete/asphalt ,etc; can be scaldingly hot.
.but it's also very hot this time of year.
That is the problem.

Yeah I do stand on the concrete to test it , it wasn't too bad yesterday to be honest I think he was just desperate for a drink

Off out to visit Seville now and I'll take some water with us just In case

The area around the Maria Luisa park and towards Seville housed the Ibero America Exposition of 1929 and many of the superb buildings are still there and in use, some as Embassies and some by the University.

The Plaza de Espana was also constructed for this expo,

Stunning amazing photos love reading all your threads, Andalusia is our favourite destination we have spent several winters at Conil de La Frontera, lots of lovely hill villages, especially Medina Sidonia a great photo opportunity.

I'll look them up thanks.

Your love /passion? for the place shines through Tam.
The ambiance, the architecture both ancient and modern are truly stunning but for me, none of it is surpassed by the wonder and simplicity of nature : that tree completely sets off this collection of beautiful pictures.
B***er work Tam,when you're done with this trip you need to get together with a publisher or the Spanish tourist board. This set of pictures alone would make a beautiful large, glossy "coffee table" book.
With the help of a ghost writer your "complete, illustrated Spanish tours would be a best seller.
I have faith in you Young Man, You can do it (y):giggle:

Northernraider you write well, with wry wit and enthusiasm and of course your strange corruption of the Queen's English ?
I am sure with help and guidance you have plenty of literary talent.

You are keeping us all well informed with your places you visit and your lovely pics I think Val is on to something :)

Lol it isn't a matter of convincing....I was never good at that stuff I'm not very articulate and to be honest my grammar etc is terrible I have ADD I was rubbish at school, I'm more a work with my hands type person than intellectual so I don't think I could write a book

And besides many people have already done books on travelling Spain and Europe etc DBK for example has done that several times
