Free services in the Aire at El Cava 40.72588, 0.7228, behind the petrol station & co-op Aire is a bit crap but nice fee spot on the river right by the cycle path at 40.71472, 0.71572.

Also a nice free Aire at Casa deFusta 40.65855, 0.67468, €3 to service.
You can drive along the sand bar and park but not allowed to overnight on the bar.

Yep the aire at el cava is the one I mentioned above ...I've used it before and it was fine

Today it's disgusting ...the grid and the ground is covered in shit , toilet paper and a puddle of urine ... I had to use 2 pallets to get to the fresh water tap .


I'm parked at the other spot by the river and cycle path at the minute , walked from there to the mouth and back

We spent a couple of nights there in March, the bridge is all lit up underneath at night, looks cool. That's quite a long walk to the river mouth.

The cassette emptying has a grate cemented over it now ...can't remember if always that way as I've used this services twice before and can't remember it. But now it's disgusting it's the worst I've seen , I was going to take a photo but thought I'd spare people.

Yeah it's a decent walk took me just shy of 2 hours there and back
Not sure I'll spend the night here though think I'd prefer the beach ...But too lazy to move

So after a walk along the river again this morning we drove round to the beach and parked where the wee tree is on the map , thought I'd walk to the lighthouse but when I got there decided to walk to the end of the beach .....broke my personal record for time walking...

Finally got back to Toby around lunchtime ...Frank about 3 litres of water and went and fell asleep on the deserted beach..

So I'm all burnt again

It was a wrecked caravan ....couldn't get much closer as I was sinking in the sand so didn't fancy risking it

I had to scroll back and take a second look - seen through my eyes first time round, with nothing to compare for size - it looked like a carved voodoo mask with horns at the top, an eye socket and long straight nose!
It shows how interesting life can be with a bit of vivid imagination lol
