Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

@monzer
I get the feeling that if you could operate the catapult with a remote control you would be sat in a recliner with a G+T while the dog ran his legs off.o_O

Wow, you're good. How on earth did you know I've just ordered a catapult remote control and a recliner from ebay? Paid a hell of a lot more than Tam for them to

In all seriousness I enjoy getting the small bit of exercise to and Sherpa on the whole is well trained just the ball thing needs fine tuned I reckon.

Please be careful throwing sticks Eddie's dad had a beautiful Alsation (Flash) one day as he did he threw a stick for her she jumped to catch it went in her throat and killed her it was horrible
I'll never forget it.

We were just speaking about that the other day. If the stick lands the wrong way on the ground you can see how it would be possible. Such a shame for Flash.

@monzer 1ok, sorry,I was maybe a bit harsh, just get more involved in the bringing it back to you part, make that bit a fun game between the two of you.

At the minute I'm parked in the layby on the sea front with 2 other campers , I used the aire for servicing this morning, don't think I'll stay here overnight I'll probably stop in castellon for the weekend

Yes I've had it In the sea the problem is getting from the sea back to somewhere dry to put a shoe on without getting it full of sand. You needed proper foot wear not Jesus Boots..BUSBY.

It was jades fault as after their walk yesterday where both had been scavenging on the beach Milo threw up everywhere last night , so this morning when out jade was trying to eat something on the beach and wouldn't drop it ....I ran after her to get it from her and my sandal dug in and fell off and I cut my foot on a stone.

She's in the bad books

I've only managed to walk 7km today because of it and I'm trying to lose my belly

What a clever idea why didn't I think of that lol.

8 f'in plasters I've had on it today they just fall off , I'm tired of cleaning the damm thing.

I'm not grumpy I just mentioned it because it's blooming sore
Insulation tape is much better.BUSBY.

Seconded for insulation tape.we carry a roll of blue insulation tape in our first aid box as the official blue plasters are useless.

Just to remind you Tam it’s bank holiday coming up this weekend and schools break up so it could get quite busy where you are.

Find a quiet spot !!!!!!

Cohesive bandage. We keep several in the dogs first aid box. It sticks to itself but not to the dogs foot, or in this case yours. Its almost like a plaster cast and wont fall off, enough layers you won't even need a shoe. Available in many cheerful colours.

Jeeso I thought midgies were bad but mosquitos are ten times worse...I've woke up to 13 bites on me in various places from legs to my ass to under my arm, my hands , shoulders ...I'm itchy as hell

This is the downside to having to take dogs out for a last pee at night as I'm guessing that's when the buggers get in the van.

I've a huge can of mosquito spray but I'm unsure if it's harmful to breath in ....instructions are in Spanish

I don't want to poison myself or the dogs but this is ridiculous.

I also need to get something from the pharmacy to put on bites as I'm scratching the skin off myself

TCP is my go to relief for mozzy bites but have never seen it for sale in Spain, or anywhere else in Europe so always carry some, good for sore throats(gargling)........efficacious in every case:)

I wouldn't worry about the mozzy spray unless you are sniffing it, get some of the stuff to apply to your skin as well, roll on or small spray.

I feel for you - I’m covered in midge bites. They tell you to apply stuff to exposed areas of skin and then the little blighters get you everywhere else.

Antihistamine tablets are good as well as cream.

Gas the van with it & then go for a walk.

'Amoniaco' floor cleaner in a surpemarket . As labelled it is ammonia & the same as the "afterbite" pens. You can also use it for jelly fish stings & as smelling salts as they have stopped production of the McKenzie ones due the the ammonia in them.

Have you an inverter? If so get a mosquito thing that plugs in .either electric or with the little 'pastillas' ( can't think of the english word) all I use if I get one at home or in van.

Where were you ten days ago?
I put my foot in an ants nest whilst out walking. They were not pleased! Their bites have been driving me crazy, I have the remains of a bottle of a bottle of Amoniaco in my cupboard that I inherited with the place To hell with cleaning the floors. (y)

I've now acquired a spray repellent , never thought about the plug in one and I looked at them too but so used to never using anything electric I forgot I had the inverter lol

Good tip with the floor cleaner I'll get some of that next time I'm in mercadona.

I've discovered even more bites .....I must have about 25 of the buggers

I need to stock up on the anti histamine tablets too...as I'm gonna be all scars otherwise

I really seem to suffer from Mossi bites since I gave up smoking 5yrs ago, I put on a plug-in killer with the inverter on at night time....

Couple of years ago I had the tiger mossies in France have a go....

We dab antibacterial hand gel on insect bites. It works a treat.

Look on the positive side, mossi bites will take your mind of the sore foot.
