Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

I wouldnt imagine that it gets any hotter than Western Australia
and I wore boots pretty much all the time , thongs are only worn for barbies etc . there :) Its what you want as the most important end result , happy hunting .
These will clock up a few miles :D2 View attachment 304736

Depends on which months you are comparing. In the Summer in Australia there is no way that you can wear boots! I know as I have also been there staying with my cousin in Victoria and she has been here in Valencia with me in Summer and said it was much hotter here than in Australia!

Living in Australia up until I was 12 & being in many other parts of the world ,there are many different types of heat , Victoria is completely different from Queensland or Perth , humidity will effect me much more than temperature , I burnt more at 85deg in Scotland than 100deg in OZ
As a kid in OZ I was mostly barefoot but nearly always wore boots at the weekend, barefoot in the bush aint much fun lol

CAT boots your paying for just the name,,they make earthmoving equipment not shoes.:LOL: Try Merrills from Decathlon. I walk at least 30 miles a week and can nearly get a year out of a pair..Sizing is a bit weird.
BUSBY.

30 miles a week ! I do that just emptying the cassette toilet !

Sorry Busby...should have read the whole thread before I replied. Didn’t realise you were a septuagenarian....I hope I’m walking 30 miles a month by the time I get to that age......and someone else is emptying the cassette toilet !

Just remember it is illegal to drive in backless shoes/sandles in Spain.

Wore boots whilst working in the bush in OZ all through the summers. In Western Australia it is a much drier heat. Can remember it being over 100 degrees night and day for weeks at a time. When it got down to 100 degrees we thought it was a cool day.

Getting near needing a separate sandal thread, but should it be in European sizing, UK or American ??

wheres the street cred in these, worse than crocs in my eyes

It's the sort of thing all my hippy aquaintances used to wear back in the 70s and 80s Chaser.
It is said that fashion along with much else in this life always goes around in circles.:D2

@mitzimad I will take the liberty of modifying Momo's statement by adding the words "by choice ".
I have certainly been poor in the past but as I worked and lived on my feet I have always bought the best footwear I could possibly afford.

I often drive barefoot

I stayed in L ampolla last night, had a nice walk along the front this morning before heading in to the deltebre to use the services...most disgusting services I've seen yet , the waste has a grid over it and everyonr been emptying cassettes over it so there's actually a pile of shit 8-10 inches high , ...the German van in front of me added his steaming pile to the top ....I decided not to bother ...I stuck 4 watering cans of water in the tank and switched my cassettes over...I'll use the next one.

Then I parked up by the river and we walked along to the mouth ...nice walk and it's a beautiful day today ...jade is getting much more confident in the water now and jumps in after sticks ...milo still a bit cautious
