Tam n pups winter trip 2022

they have exceptional memories, more so than we often give them credit for.

and

they know who and what they like, although they dont always know whats good for them.
I read somewhere that they are a bit like goldfish with stuff that is of no use to them, it just gets forgotten, they just remember stuff that is useful.

Managed to lock myself out the van this morning 🤦‍♂️ had to send Jackie through the smallest hatch on the van( that I fortunately hadnt locked )

Martin's impressed 😄

Just as well hopefully you didn’t have anything stored in that hatch!!! Plus glad Jackie was the there to help you out.
I did and it's the hatch my compressor is fitted in so I had to remove that first and a load of other junk , one of the dogs beds also sits over the internal hatch as it's under the dinette table , so not the easiest way to get in lol but it worked thankfully. I thougy I was going to have to source a small child at first

I always secret a key underneath the van somewhere for occasions like this….😎
I do too normally. But I never got extra keys cut for this van . I have a spare set but they're hidden in the van somewhere. I meant to get extra hab keys cut and I forgot

It’s just a key blade I hide, much easier…😎

Ach she loves borrowing them , when she gets her new van next year she may finally get one of her own .
Is she going big like you Tam or sticking to the VW California size?

Looking for something about 6 metres ,
But with toilet, fixed bed etc .

Was showing her some on ebay today ,
Her van is worth around £50-55k so she could get something with similar age and miles for about same value

This is the same as hers

And she wants something like this

Thanks for the info and lovely pics Tam. Please don't say anything to Jackie but the state of the inside of her van cracks me up LOL !!

There’s a massive difference in features by going to just 6 metres from the vw camper type ones.

Oh she knows lol . I wind her up every day about it ...its even worse up close lol

But to be honest I couldn't travel long term like she does in a van that size I'd go insane. But she does now want something a bit bigger with a few home comforts. At least having been used to that size anything bigger will be complete luxury. It's much harder trying to go the other way as this van really is too big for the travelling I like to do. I need to seriously get rid of a lot of the stuff I carry and never use .

Definitely. I mean her van is around 4.5 /5 metres and has nothing like what's in a 6 metre ducato. I think 7 metres is about the smallest I want to go but I am fulltime whereas she does have a house.

I bought a couple of VW Crafter a few months ago Tam and I think they're about 7 metres (there's 1 beside my Elegance which was 9 metres)

Aye this is 7 metres too

I cannae afford a new crafter though lol .

If I don't build this I'll be looking for a 7 metre single rear axle motorhome again I think. But not made up my mind yet.

But this one is definitely too big
Big overhang on that blue yoke, it's hard to get the exact thing lol

Aye but it has good clearance , it's also 6.6 tonne so no issues with overloading even with a motorbike on the back.

And in 7 years road tax, mot and ulez exempt.

So it has a lot of pro's

Also no ecu, abs, turbo, electrics, sensors etc to go wrong with it. Its basic and simple which is appealing

But it ain't fast
