I cannae afford a new crafter though lol .

If I don't build this I'll be looking for a 7 metre single rear axle motorhome again I think. But not made up my mind yet.

But this one is definitely too big
Yes, like you have said before it is a nice size to live full time in but not good for the way you like to travel Tam.

I could be tempted by this one, but it's about 3 or 4 years too soon for me really.

There is also the question of just how well the 2WD to 4WD conversion has been done. Also I'd rather buy a bare van if possible.

One things for sure, the demand for good Varios doesn't seem to backing off anytime soon.

I know that van personally. That was the one built by Charlie who lives near me , the guy who did all the welding etc was the first guy I asked who quoted me £5k . After seeing that van in the flesh and knowing how much money Charlie spent on it I wouldn't personally thank you for it . Its not selling because it isn't a genuine 4x4 and because its a little mutton dressed as lamb . That's well over a year its been for sale now . I think it will be lucky to fetch £20k in the end. Charlie spent around £30k building it. Welding and paint alone hit over £15k

He sold it to the current owner for £30k and it hasn't changed since then .
It started off at £35k last year .

Ela does not look too happy with her ruck sack.
BTW, how's her limp and Milo's paw?

Ah she's fine she's just facing the wind in that photo so her ears were flapping .

Milo totally fine , ela still limping some times but then she's also still pulling and charging around so whatever she's done she keeps aggravating it.

A bit like classic cars then - easy to spend £25k and end up with a car worth £15k!

I think the ideal is finding something like this - low miles, high spec, good provenance. But that comes at a price, and supply of these direct ex-service will be getting scarce now, given the age of these vans.

I don't know what that one went for, I guess around £30k.

Yes I've seen a few bargains but they are now getting harder. The one I have now is pretty good but it does still need some lower body welding done . But fairly low miles for its age and a much more simple machine than newer vehicles.

Sign says 'Via Verde' but looks very brown to me, almost desert like, so not my taste.

I like the red and as an untrained eye it did look good.

Is there no way to find out what it went for?

Looks a lovely spot. Where is it?
Playa carraleonas , just down the coast a bit from aguilas. Its busy with vans which it always is but it's a lot cleaner than the last time I was here and the bit where I'm parked isn't too crowded so it will do nicely for a few nights

All that walking you’ve been doing I thought you’d have lost another stone.
Aye but I've been indulging in biscuits lol.

As long as I don't gain any I'll be happy enough and I'll pick up where I left off when I go home
