Wow beautiful dog. We found one quite near their a few years back. Luckily adopted locally.

It was a lovely dog , he was walking around on his own but I could tell he was in too good condition to be a stray ,anyway he came walkies with us for ages , then we turned a corner and there was a Spanish guy with an old Renault 4 making a road with just a pick and a shovel , it was his dog ....alpha his name was. He continued to walk with us a good bit before he turned back , very affectionate and playful . Anyway we continued on and I let my lot of the leads ...of course the big bugger took herself off again and I lost sight of her for at least half an hour . We had stopped and turned around and were half way back to the van before she came bolting after us . She's a pest but at least she's consistent.

We still never made it too that wee church. It must be miles away but we wouldn't have had time to get there and back before it got dark

Might try again tomorrow but going earlier in the day

Tune of the day

More so the intro at the beginning and the spoken bit at the end I always felt the story had a few similarities to my own. Not all of it obviously but you know when lyrics just kind of ring true? Well this song always did that with me , as did many others of course.

Anyway some will like others may not 🤣

Actually, I think it's the Fire Lookout and it is a long way to walk. Biking, no problem, especially coming back down.

There is a small place to park nearer. It's on P4N. If you go read the instructions and don't go through the archway under the aqueduct with your van. It then a few km up a single carriage road. You might have seen it today, its near the ruined building on your ohotos.

A brand new Mercadona as well.
I know and too think the reason I went in to lorca town was for a mercadona lol . Had a lot of trouble getting parked , but done my shopping , filled up with diesel in cepsa at €1.71 - 25c and then drove here for services and there's a mercadona next door and a petrol station across the road with diesel at €1.59 - 25c

Lots of mutterings under my breath happening when I pulled in .

We've had a walk in to town and hiked up to the old castle which is sadly not in a good state and not worth taking pics of it really , but the view over the town from up there is good.

And then it was back to the camper for a much needed sit down. Dogs have crashed out

Dogs are amazing creatures , we are in the camper , Jackie has gone to mercadona and as she'll be stocking up on wine and beer lol she's taken her van , ela watched her driving out. She had to drive towards the town before she can cross the dual carriageway to go back along to mercadona, ela has watched out the window the whole time and is now staring out the window towards the mercadona watching for Jackie's van . They recognise the van everytime she comes to park beside us
