Black cabs use to be a no no .Just had an old fella talking to me , he said "don't get the black cabs son , they're all IRA"
No sure if he was winding me up or not lol .
Anyway I've been to both walls . Interesting stuff .
It's worse than that. They are queuing for days to spend 10 seconds walking past an empty box. Imagine if that many people put that much time in to volunteering or litter picking or something useful!Oh fir fs sake I hoped I was gonna avoid all that bloody nonsense . I saw on the news last night folk queuing 30 hours to walk past a dead body ....should send them to bloody Ukraine they can dae that every 10 minutes.
I got one to the airport once I sure he was trying to kill me never come across such atrocious driving.Just had an old fella talking to me , he said "don't get the black cabs son , they're all IRA"

Get it checked Tam, as you said you heard some belts scream yesterday, might be a bearing? Did they replace water pump when they did timing belt?Moved to a spot just south of Belfast for the night which is a nice quiet park .... just pulled up here though and the van making a funny noise. Sounds like a dry or rattly pulley but it's hard to tell .....I really really hope its nothing and not the start of problems. Just when I was starting to like this van. I'm leaving it alone till the morning and will see if it's still sounding funny. I've had a look but can't see nothing

Nice colour for your vario Tam?
How’s this for a motto eh? View attachment 665424
Yeah the belt squeak is just normal after New belts fitted. That's why I was trying to put some miles on it before this long trip but of course it didn't do it till I had left and only on a cold damp morning.Get it checked Tam, as you said you heard some belts scream yesterday, might be a bearing? A thousand stars in the sky….
Quite a lot of the NI protestants came from Scotland after 1688.I'm here for purely curious reasons although I might just be paranoid but you do get a lot of funny looks at this bit. Not sure why.
Anyway here's a funny thing from this morning . I was talking to another dog walker who is originally from Sussex. I mentioned the thing yesterday about calling someone Irish and them saying they were British and he says yeah they get quite offended. He then said you should be alright though you're Scottish...its the English they don't like.
Now I'm confused as that doesn't make bloody sense. Surely that's a contradiction
I hope they haven't overtightened the aux belt, I've known alternator bearings go because of that.Yeah the belt squeak is just normal after New belts fitted. But this noise wasn't like that. More a rumbling but coming from the belt area , can't see anything . I'll see how it is tomorrow.
Aye but with it squeaking the other day you would think not. I thought maybe the b2b is putting strain on the alternator . But I don't know at the minute I'll have a look in the morning before I start it up see if anything obvious. It might well be nothing. I'm still not trusting of the van.I hope they haven't overtightened the aux belt, I've known alternator bearings go because of that.
Yeah I haven't used much I don't think bit not topped it up since July so just wanting to be sure. I only use it for the cooker as everything else is electric.Keep your LPG topped up very scarce in Southern Ireland.
I had a dry raspy noise on a van many years ago, it was ok when the engine was cold but I could hear it once warmed up turned out to be the alternator bearings. Just be aware everywhere will be shut till Tuesday after today hopefully it's not.Last night's stopover ..

Off now to get some shopping , top up my lpg and have a look at titanic building and the tender. Have to use a paid carpark but should only be 2 hours max .. Will try and park up at the castle tonight.
Hopefully no issues with the van . Still a dry noise coming from down at the pulleys but hard to tell what it is ...I gave a wee squirt of wd 40 down there but no difference. Will see if it's still the same later.
Yeah at the minute it could be anything. It's driving OK..just weird noise . I still think it's more rattly than the hymer was too.I had a dry raspy noise on a van many years ago, it was ok when the engine was cold but I could hear it once warmed up turned out to be the alternator bearings.
