Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Sounds logical, especially if the sound changes when load on the alternator changes.

Look on the bright side Tam, yes it's a pain in the arse, BUT if it is the alternator it's not usually too bad to change them. From *memory* on the X244 2.8 you can get alternator access by crawling underneath to the back of the engine, behind the sump, so if you've got some ramps or can scrounge some from another MH you can get to it and it doesn't make any odds that it is an A class with a letter box bonnet..
Myself and Richard gus-lopez changed the one on my hymer . It was a mare to be honest .

So here's a few pics of Belfast Castle where we went earlier .

On the way out I stopped and filled up diesel £1.76l .....£75 worth I've used since leaving home.
£4.87 in lpg at £0.69 litre , that's me full so I've uses less than a fivers worth since July.

And £8.50 in unleaded at £1.66 a litre for the scooter . Filled a can as I can't access the scooter tank while on the rack . And I done my shopping this morning so I'm good for another week.

Spoke to the mechanic deryck that Winger gave me the number for and he will come take a look for me on Tuesday morning here at whitehead . So I'm here for the weekend . But there's a few places near by I can go visit either walking or with the scooter so it could be worse.

And this is where I'm parked up now ...till Tuesday at least

That was a close call with my reverse lights , the rear camera doesn't give you a good idea of any gradients. Fortunately they haven't grounded. At least I won't need the ramp getting the scooter off lol

Eek. I guess you're not going to be able to get much done 'till Tuesday now anyway. Best of luck!

Looks like there are far worse places to be stuck.

Just watch those lights if you jack the front end up!

Just don’t get him pissed! He’s a bloody nightmare but still a nice chap!

I think this is the most successful diet I've ever been on . First time I've been the same weight when going to bed as I am when getting up. Previous diets I seemed to gain half a stone each day and lose it overnight 😄🤣🤣 weird but true.

Anyway I'm now 16 stone on the nail , to you skinny buggers like Lenny HB that seems a lot I guess but for me and my build its good going ...I was 20 stone 3lb back in May so I'm quite pleased. The aim is still 15 stone at present and I'll see how I feel then , I'm also pleased to say that my skin seems to be shrinking back to which is a relief as I didn't want to end up with a pouch of loose skin .

That looks like a really nice spot Tam.

At least you didn't ground out as it always does more damage when you pull away. Just don't ask how I know.

Wife tells me I'm overweight, currently 74kg.

Aye it was pure luck more than anything but I've moved to another spot in the carpark...too many dogs going past here and my lot keep barking so I'm over in the corner now. Better spot anyway nicer view

Going to walk along to the lighthouse in a bit

A big well done. Won't be long to the 15 stone and you'll be soooo pleased with yourself.

Have you plans for how to keep it off?

Have you plans for how to keep it off?
I just need to keep doing what I'm doing now which is fine , I'm quite happy with what I'm eating these days , I have treats in moderation and have cut out a lot of the boredom eating etc .

Tam, keep yourself and the dogs well away from those caterpillars as the hairs on them can be 'flung' off as a defence mechanism and cause major issues.

chaser ... bet you haven't got a tractor like the above? :giggle:

Tam said it was huge, the processionary caterpillars that I’ve seen have been about 1” long (a fairly normal sort of size) and, consistent with their moniker, have been travelling in a procession, nose to tail.

Are you sure it’s the same beast?

Ian

No, is that real snow? Where is it?
It’s very real snow see photo above , Fiss, Serfaus, Ladis in Austria, winter started early lol , beautiful hot sunshine though, more photos of beautiful Austria in the what have you done today thread, as some people only like photos of Tam’s affairs in this thread😎👍😆

I didn't say they were processionary caterpillars however the ones we've seen have been up to 2 inches long, but that's not the issue, it's that the hairs are a defence mechanism so any 'hairy' caterpillar is a risk, best to keep well away from them.

Looks like a Fox Moth Caterpillar:

It definitely wasn't a processionary...this was half the length of my finger . Never seen one so big . It was lovely colours .

But I don't know if all caterpillars do the hair thing or not ...dogs weren't interested in it though. Just me 😁

Pretty things though ain't they.
I thought it was lovely ... but I dinnae pick up bugs anyway ..just thought it was worth a photie .

The dogs are quite good and tend to ignore them thankfully. Till it gets to mouse size then it's all systems chase

Our little ones love bugs .. flies, ants, beetles, wasps, bees ... you name it ... they were trying to eat a ladybird the other day until I rescued it!
