Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Don’t forget the assorted hammers. LOL.
Small, medium and large?

I've been trying to go through my house from a 3rd party perspective, as if I was no longer here. what would someone else do with all my tatt? I know it's not the same for stuff you carry on a road trip for maintenance but it made me chuck stuff I might have kept hold of.

I moved from a 4 bedroom house with a double garage to a 2 bedroom flat. Went to the tip every day for two weeks, reluctantly dumping stuff.

4 years later I still frequently wish I had kept something I needed/wanted, but in reality I have repurchased very few things.

Hey Tam what was wrong with your cab heater? I remember you got it fixed but can't remember what you had to do. My cab blower was only working on seetings 2 and 4 but now it's only working on 4 which is a bit of a pain.

Any idea what it may be?

Mine didn't work at all. I put it in to an auto spark and they found 2 burnt connections. But if yours is working on highest setting and not the rest then it's most likely the resistor

Now that's a bummer.

I got 2 new tyres fitted on the car the day after mum died , just had one burst because the local council has left a big concrete base of a road sign on the side of a road just after the bend so I've turned the corner hit the lump of concrete and put a big bloody hole in my tyre.

So nearly everything I've earned tonight at work is going to.pay for the bloody tyre I've now to replace before I can advertise the car 😩

Can you claim against them. Take photos of the concrete in wrong place

Carol
I doubt I'd get anywhere , councils are slimey toads only good at screwing money out of us ... not so keen on handing it out

Not sure if I mentioned it on Friday or not but we accepted an offer on the house on Friday and it was made official today so that's the house technically sold .

Mum would be pleased I pushed the buyers up to just over the top price given. And was only on the market 6 days .

First time buyers with no chain so all going well they'll complete before Christmas

If I get the car sold before the weekend I may just head off a day or two early and spend a night or 2 on route south somewhere.

Yeah that's the thing , some stuff I have I use very rarely but I do use it so I can't get rid of it. There is stuff I probably should just get rid of but as soon as I do I know that's when I'll bloody need it. I've seen fulltimers in much smaller vans than mine and I don't know how on earth they manage
Our van is 6 mtrs, and we just about managed but we do cheat, still have some stuff at MiL’s place.
Soon we will have to carry everything!

good news about the house Northernraider Good luck with the rest of the clearing.

I know , as soon as I said I was on the ferry 17th he said " you'll be stopping by then I'll move the camper for you and roll out the red carpet"
Hope you have time to change the ABS sensor on the car. :giggle:

Just what you need Tam. Space for all your tools, just need lots of electrons.

He gave me a pressie when I was there… and I didn’t even give him a bottle of wine..😆🍷 I did however give Mi a poinsettia 💐🌸..🙂

Northernraider I burst a cycle tyre and destroyed the wheel on a concrete block narrowing a road in Walthamstow years ago. I took pictures of the block showing that the original yellow paint had worn off and the lighted bollard to top had been squashed. I sent them the invoice for the replacement and they paid!

Sold the car last night used the money from that this morning to buy some euros , then took the mh for a drive to Kirkcaldy to fill up with lpg at Morrisons , first time that's happened at an lpg pump but as soon as I connected the nozzle the pump started filling by itself without me having to press the button.... very weird , anyway it took £22 worth to fill up. Their diesel was at £1.56 too so just filled up with diesel while I was there.

I think I'll probably hit the road on Monday morning heading south .

Still a few jobs to do on the van before I go and I've still some stuff to pack in it. No idea where I'm gonna put it lol.
