Tam n pups winter trip 2022

OK so I now have all the facts and info .

It isn't good , it couldn't be worse really .

So it is cancer , lung cancer , one large mass in the right lung , 3 smaller bits in the left lung, a mass in the adrenal gland , one in the soas muscle , one in the base of her spine one to the side of the stomach and one in the left breast. Given the fact there were none at the start of the year it's highly aggressive and fast moving.
Prognosis is weeks not months ....

Chemo would do nothing but make mum unwell and would only add a few weeks if anything but quality of life would be vastly reduced .

Mum doesn't want any of that, palative care may come up with some ideas for better pain relief.

So thats it

A very nice Chinese doctor that we had a few laughs with before he broke that news at which point mum was the only brave one . Sister and I ended up in tears , I tried very hard not to but when he said weeks I couldn't help it .

I'm not ready ,

So sad Tam. All I can say is you’re in our thoughts. Take care big man.

My wife‘s mum became ill whilst she had Alzheimer’s and only lasted a short time. Part of us wanted her to be here longer but we were glad she didn’t suffer too much. The pain of losing is almost too much too bear but after a while we realised it is a little selfish. Sometimes you just have to let go😢

Hi Tam,

As a long term sufferer we are very sorry to hear your news.

Kind regards

Nev & Lynda

So sorry about your mum Tam. Hugs to you all xx

I’m so sorry 😢 thinking of you all.

So sorry Tam I know exactly what you are all going through.

So sad for you and your family Tam. Crying is good for you although it can seem like an indulgence at times but it's better to let it out.
Love and hugs to you all.
Please let us know how things are when you want to - even the horrible, difficult and sad things.
