Tam n pups winter trip 2022

I've had some bad experiences with "quality" red wine especially with the grapes they grow in Scotland. Some of the 'flavored' gins that seem to be all the rage nowadays can be equally as bad.
You need to be giving Tam a shopping list Lenny HB so he can find the right ones on ebay while he is looking for other things.

What were you saying about the benefits of older easier to work on MHs? :giggle:;)
Aye well they are lol. And the parts are fairly easy too. Problem with this its on a change year and its an import so the reg no and chassis number bring up discrepancies. So it's trial and error.

Just took the second set of brake shoes up to the garage and they think they're the right ones so will see. Wheel bearing hopefully arrive tomorrow...and hopefully that's the right one.

Will get there eventually. If they turn out the right parts I'm going to buy a second set for spares

Had that problem with a Vauxhall Omega, I had one with the 6 pot BMW engine, discs I got for it were way smaller than the ones on the car, trouble is you don't find out until you have stripped it down.

Normally not a fan of flavored Gins but a Cherry Gin at Simon Select local was awesome. :giggle:

Aye that's the problem. Ideally the garage should have took it to bits and checked what was wrong as according to them the hub seal is fine its the wheel bearing that's gone and it has a seal built in . Sounds strange to me but then I've not seen it as they need the ramp so they've got one wheel back on it at the minute so they could put it outside

What !!yer going to keep it that long🤣👍
Well despite it trying everything to put me off doing that it was the intention to keep it for a few years

But it's trying to make me give up , problems with it every way I turn

If that really is a monocoque, what are all those joint cover mouldings for, particularly between roof and walls and rear and sides, not to mention the obviously separate cab moulding.

It's the usual nonsense. Folk think monocoque can't leak but that's nonsense. Fibreglass can suffer from starring, cracks, osmosis, various other things.

But it's a nice old van apart from the stuff the owners added, stickers. Those brass barometers etc inside.

Still don't see the fantastic quality that rmb interiors are meant to have but still it's an old merc.

Our old RMB (1998) does have a really good interior- solid doors good catches etc
Someone on. Here described them as built like a brick which seemed very apt!!
That’s apart from all the bells and whistles that were normal for them years ago and found only high spec vans now!!

Didn't think you would fancy an automatic gearbox...?

I knew someone with an old RMB, they had damage to the rear garage door and said it was timber underneath the top section.

Mum dropped 2 clangers yesterday

1) on the way to asda she said " if I get the all clear from the hospital and don't pop my clogs I'm going to get a new oven and hob as I don't like that one the kitchen fitter put in last year.

I still won't use it but I don't like it.

2) it's just annoying me that the triple lock is going to be increased again next year and I won't live to see it.

It's sort of funny but it ain't. ...but at least she's talking about it in some capacity.

Still not had results from that scan yet. Apparently they have been passed on to the respitory consultant to review and then give the results.

So my sister has interpreted that as confirmation because the scan was to find a problem with her back ...so the fact it's been passed to respitory is because that's where the biggest problem lies.
But we kinda knew that from the last scan.

But we should get results within the next week apparently.

Meanwhile mum is in good enough spirits ,at least what she's letting us see , but still not eating enough and still got pain as lots of meds make her feel sick and she'd rather suffer pain than feel nauseous. Tried changing her from morphine to oxy...something but she tried it once then refused to take it again so it'd back to the morphine.

Tough times Tam
Just got to muddle through it. Its the uncertainty and not being able to plan things that's the hardest. I like to have a plan , otherwise I just stress and worry.
