Tam n pups winter trip 2022

For the disconnected heater ,could it be a just a leaking matrix.
The matrix actually looks OK. But I need to dismantle it and check. No idea why they've cut the hoses.

I've fancied a v50 for a couple of years now but have all been to expensive or too far away .

This one was cheap 😁 high motorway mileage but it drives amazing. Top spec se lux , so has full heated electric leather , cruise, amazing sound system etc.

Might be my last car for a while so thought why not.

And it was only £900 😁

We believe you, yer right, I give it 6 months.
Well that's kinda my point uncle lenny . When mums no longer here I lose my base so will not be able to park here and work on deliveries so won't have a car .

Going to have to explore other methods of earning , maybe warden work or event Marshall or something. Won't have anywhere to keep a car

Looks great and full of "toys" to enjoy for a while.
Yeah if I've gotta stay here this winter and work I want a comfy car to do it in .

Not had a nice car really since I went fulltime in the camper. It's just been practical ones.

Although this is still just a 1.6 diesel eco so only £30 pa road tax etc but a bit of luxury . It feels really solid to drive too.

Hopefully no issues with it. But its been looked after and had lots of new bits in the last year or so , tyres , all brakes ,few suspension parts etc.

I'd have preference another colour but it's very tidy for being 12 years old

Are you going to need another 'home' address so you don't have to pay for full-time MH insurance? Perhaps Uncle Lenny might be amenable seeing as you appear to be a semi-adopted son! :giggle:

I'm sure he will use his sister's, I'm safe.

I will but I'm hoping I can use my sisters . Will need one for everything, banks, insurance , licence, passport everything

That's a good old diesel donkey Tam, ours had 215k on it when the turbo died, we even drove it for a few months like that though, then I sold it to the breakers as no one wanted it as a trade in. A week later, I saw it parked in Aldi and we spotted it locally for a few months after that !
If you get any funny electrical glitches with it (wipers coming on on their own, or display saying "anti skid service required") remove the passenger side glove box and pivot down the relay board that's behind it and undo all the multipin connectors and give them a spray with contact cleaner. It's a known issue they shared with the Ford Focus (same floor plan) and if you need engine parts, it's a Renault motor !

Are any parts on it Volvo ?

The price…..😎
Funnily enough, the old 440 Volvo we had was advertised at a local dealer's Rover branch, so we went up to see it. The salesman said that they'd moved it down to their Volvo dealership, but if we had a coffee, he would get it brought up for us ? When it arrived, the Volvo sticker in the windscreen was priced at £900 dearer than the Rover dealer had it advertised in the local paper ! The salesman said not to worry, they put the price up for the Volvo garage, but we could have it at the "Rover" price.
