Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Aye the lassie on the phone from bank was pretty bad this morning to be honest, very quiet lazy talker I had to ask her to repeat things several times . Couldn't have been less interested.

The only bit I got in the end was I had to wait 15 days to open a dispute as they couldn't stop the payment .

I have to go round to the branch today anyway so I'll get them to order me a new card and cancel this one
There is normally an option on the app to suspend your card. Saves the need to cancel

One bonus of the gas fire, on a cold morning you can turn it on and stand over it with your pj top pulled over it to let the heat warm you up (doesn't work without clothes on!) ... Pure bliss.😄
Don't need to do that with a Combi, just set the timer and wake up to a nice warm van. :giggle:

No that was all legitimate. No I spotted an advert on Instagram this morning for a sale on craghoppers. So I ordered a couple of pairs of walking trousers and a packable jacket at a very enticing price .. everything looked legitimate, paid by credit card , had all the ssl secure payment badges etc .

But then when I mentioned it to mum she agreed it seemed very cheap. So I started googling , found the same items in the genuine craghoppers sale at a fair bit more money. Then looked for my confirmation email which was in my spam folder and that didn't look right . So I googled craghoppers scam and found a load of information on it.

Seems its a well known scam site.

Gotta wait 15 days before I can open a dispute for a charge back.
I saw that ad on f/band but checked comments and that said it was a scam, I hope you get sorted

Ah but there's nothing like a nice hot blast on your boobies when it's cold!

Don’t worry about a bloody diet Tam, you are what you are. (y)
Word putting on a bit of weight to develop 'man boobs' to enjoy the wonderful feeling the gas fire gives!

Had to give Tam a bollocking today, he has only gone and bought plastic brackets for his solar panels.

He claims he has always used them and never had a panel come off.
But he has never kept a van long enough to find out.

Really feel I bought a right pig in a poke with this van. Everyday I find new things that don't work or have been botched. It's quite soul destroying. So yesterday I discovered the heating/demister in the cab doesn't work. Today I discovered the secondary heater in the rear that runs from the engine cooling also doesn't work , or at least the hoses running to it from the front have been cut and bypassed. So while the fan blows there's no way for it to get any heat.

There's just loads of jobs needing fixed on it. It's going to take an age to sort everything out on it.

Anyway one more job completed today, there was a bit damage to the underside of the floor just behind the gas locker. It's mad how this van is made , having plywood exposed to the elements is just nuts but that's how it's been built.

So repaired this bit

Removed another load of redundant wires while I was under there.

Fixed one of the frames of the rear base units ( no pics ) and tried to repair the bonnet catch . Buy the new spring I bought is too big so still have to try and find a new spring for that , no part number or identification on the catch so no idea what vehicle its originally from . Doesn't look like the original mk2 iveco one

Ordered more bits from uncle lennys list. I'm sure he's trying to bankrupt me.

I suspect you wouldn't take it if you thought it might fail......
Well I've checked and repaired what I can do. But emissions and brakes etc are harder to judge without the testing equipment.

There are parts I plan to change anyway but won't get them done before I need to mot it . So hopefully they are OK for now

Yep,sure looks like you’ve bought a pig in a poke,as you say.
But…..if you hadn’t done so you would probably need to spend double the money, you’d have nothing to
constantly moan about, nothing to entertain us lot with, and basically nothing to do all day long.. So stop moaning and get your finger out!!! ;) ;);):ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Did he reply when you sent the guy, sorry crook you bought it off, pictures of how it is now?
Not done it yet . Waiting till I've finished
