Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Depends on which make they are but normally have double sided tape as well as snap onto the original mirror

Chris has an issue with these mirrors. I've not had a van of this model so not sure if this is normal but if it is its daft . The bar that goes up the drivers window complete blocks the view of the wing mirror. But there's only one position the mirror locks in .

I've had the plastic trim off but there's no way of adjusting it

He says it's a replacement mirror so I'm wondering if it's maybe a lhd model mirror .

Anyone had this issue?

Wondering if he has got a short arm mirror instead of a long arm Or vice versa

You always have to peer around that bar, but that looks worse than most. The older style two piece window blinds also made matters worse. I do wonder whether the right length mirror has been fitted.

Yep it's definitely the longer arm mirror ...it just seems to sit further back than required . So you have to lean forward to see it which seems madness

thinking if that is a long arm the short one might be more visible.
Know I have to move abit to see round the pillar in my doblo, but I am short and sit a bit far forward. John can see fine though. Not noticed any problems in the ducato though

I can’t help it if German plonk is rubbish, it was the thought that counted….🍷😆😎
... That's a concern depending on what your thought was ... Do you like Lenny? 😳
It was so bad it still haunts me to this day
Had you done anything to upset Smiffy like trying to electrify his chair but not in a good way? 😄

Yes...I've had that same issue. In my case it was non OEM mirror and for LHD. I had to fork out for a RHD mirror. As far as I could establish there was no way of "resetting" the LHD mirror to cure the problem.

Are you sure it's not the medium arm mirror & it should have the long one.

I think it the interior blind upright which is causing the problem normally it is not as wide as that maybe worth investing in a one piece blind

I think the problem exists because the cab was designed around a panel van which has short arm mirrors.
Our motorhome is narrow and is fitted with short arm mirrors. We don't have this problem.

It's not the blind as it is a one piece . Just a very wide trim on the window frame

It's the same as passenger side. Can only see 2 arm sizes on ebay etc. I think it's a lhd one myself as you can see perfectly from the passenger seat but driver has that trim in the way.

I thought I remembered and as Lenny HB said he might need the medium or even the short one but isn't it a legal requirement to see the back corner in the mirror.

I hope you removed the foil on both sides from the foam before gluing it as the walls strength relies on the sandwich bond.

I didn't

But it don't come off there easy .

But it's not lacking in strength that's for sure

Well the amount of glue I've put on it I ain't taking it back off . I pity if anyone ever needs to take this apart again as it's way stronger than the original. But I've never seen anyone take that silver foil off on any vanbuilds I've seen
I wouldn't be happy with it on there you will get a much better bond without it.
